I've got a few improvement ideas for your chicken tractors from experience. 1. Instead of a rake or hoe to hold up the lid, we use a piece of 1 inch pvc pipe. Cut it to whatever length is most convenient for you. Cheap enough to keep one on every tractor. It lays easily on the top of the lid in the ridges of the sheetmetal and we aren't always searching around for a prop. 2. We added a 3 inch screw to the bottom of the lid and to the top of the base and left them sticking out about an inch. This holds the pvc pipe stable while the lid is up. No more head aches from a rake handle slipping and the tractor lid falling on your head or back. Ouch! 3. We built our tractors with one side out of plyboard instead of sheetmetal. Then I cut out a door similar to the chicken houses in this video. Then I can open to free range during the day and lock up at night. Love to watch your videos every week. God bless

I like the window fans, good thinking. I couldn’t believe that some employees have been armed with gas powered sprayers to spray down the shopping carts. They don’t seem to realize what that does to the lungs. I rarely had asthma but now I joke I’m going to die grocery shopping. Kevin I got myself N 95 masks. May God Bless you and yours.

I use a butterfly catching net to catch my chicks. Funny how quickly they know to try to avoid that bright orange thing! They see me coming across the yard w. it in my hand, they head for beneath low bushes!

Wonderful to see this animal transition to the new farm. Another corner. You both are so blessed to have acquired this property. The timing was perfect. Glad to hear you are feeling better Kevin. My Great Uncle Ray had serious resp. issues from his egg laying busines. Relieved to see you have addressed the problem. Uncle Ray's health condition was the reason I was taught farming, starting at the age of 8. My Aunt Annie would show me how to tend the chickens, rabbits and gardens. I am encouraged by your French meat chickens. My favorite goose is the French Toulouse, also bred for meat, but very tame. A nice addition to the barn yard and pond.
