Recipient of TG4 Music Awards for Musician of the Year 2016. Bothy Band fiddler, Kevin Burke and one of the founders of the famous Patrick Street Band alongside Jackie Daly, Andy Irvine and the late Arty McGlynn in the '80's. Ged Foley was also a frequent guitar player with the Patrick Street Band. Burke and Foley went on to record an album together in 2005 titled "In Tandem ". In 2002, Burke was awarded the very prestigious award, The National Heritage Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts in the States. He now lives in Portland, Oregon.
