I smelled all those bodies in that empty lot on Bradhurst. I worked at the Jackie Robinson Center right across the street that summer, and the stench was overwhelming. I even flagged down local police and told them there was a bad smell coming from that abandoned building in the lot. The cop dismissed it as "dead animals". Imagine my surprise the following winter, I'm getting dressed for school and NY1 reported they found at least 13 human remains in there! I smelled it! I knew what death smelled like bc a man died in my building and was in his apt for a whole week. If those cops would've listened, those bodies would've been discovered sooner.
