I only found out about Kevin Coyne last week when a Blue Plaque was unveiled to him in Derby. Amazing Artist. Normanton born like myself. So very proud.

Was about 15 in the early 80es when I saw Kevin and his 3 guys on stage in a small summer event in Austria... Best live gig I've ever witnessed... So much energy, so much talent... Rip Kevin

I saw this line up in the early eighties at Bath Academy of Art for a provincial green horn like me it was something of a creative revelation. I think the event was organised by the late John Furnival, a tutor at the college at that time.

Het zou me eerder verrassen als iedereen ineens wegliep met Coyne's muziek. Iemand die je (zeer) persoonlijk aanspreekt of juist niet. Ik vermoed velen niet, of ze zien alleen maar een clown in hem. Prachtig, dat beeld van hem, in het begin, zittend in het donker bij de concertzaal.
