Watch the game. Sheesh. The Nets played an incredible series to be that undermanned. The Nets are missing length to defend and rebound. Simmons adds the length and added boards and a Harris adds length and shooting. Basketball is not rocket science but people get clouded with emotion. The Nets shot 50% and 40% 3p. Their offense is high octane. Simmons will help out on the other side of the floor. Harris will relieve some of the offensive burden.

Kyrie was comforable in Lebron's shadow and being a part time player this year. People forget that Kyrie is injury prone and has never carried a team deep in the playoffs. KD is extremely passive and thin skinned. These two busters go exposed. They have to win 65gms next year and win in 5 in the Finals to cancel out this year. But we all know what's going to happen: Kyrie will be injured for 25+ gms, KD will put up numbers but wont win and they'll get roasted by Boston or Milwaukee.

The part where KD legacy first hit was joining a 73-9 team, he took another hit leaving GS to join kyrie Irving a complete drama queen and form a completely failed super team. After losing in 2021 to Giannis 2nd round being up 2-0. This year 2022 he faces the Boston Celtics in the first round and can’t win 1 single game with a full healthy kyrie, and healthy players. KD had it made in golden state with two of the greatest shooters, win 2 chips and still didn’t feel accomplished because he understood the dynamics of that team. He is not a player who leads, and know how to win. 0 Wins and he played bad ALL SERIES LONG 39 points on 18 missed shots. Stop putting him in the same conversation as the greats and Top 10 players all-time.

I’ll put it like this. We’ve all been in positions where with our friends, our confidence is heightened more than when we’re not. KD was able to operate with elevated confidence level in GS. With Steph and Klay and Draymond you have the 2 BEST SHOOTERS IN WORLD HISTORY AND A DPOY that’s easy treading for ANY star to fit right in to. The ultimate safety nets. As 2pac said, “ya ain’t shhhh without ya homeboyz.” Not to the fullest extent because KD is a great player, but you catch my drift; he ain’t the best. You can operate with Steph and Klay knowing that if you miss, it’s UNLIKELY they’ll miss the next 2 shots. Great player, but joining a 73 win team and winning is not a monumental feat for a player of his caliber.

What has the GS team done since KD left? Nothing. They've won as many titles as KD, ZERO. GS needed KD. KD needed GS. There is no shame in that. The only shame is not admitting it. Pieces that fit make teams. Great players don't almost win if there are no pieces that fit around them. Jordan to 7 years to win in the playoffs. Was he terrible in those 7 years? Of course not. Lemme get this off my chest. KD is one of the top 12 greatest players of all-time. Respect to the Celtics for an incredible first round series. They're looking dangerous. With that being said, if LeBron had the performance that KD had THEY WOULD BE KILLING HIM! Bron would be getting crucified by the media and the fans. KD and KI were exposed on so many levels. To point out one thing, their inability to dish out and take physicality is a HUGE problem. It was unlikely they'd both be fully healthy for a 20+ game playoff in the first place. The slightest of contact and KD winces in pain, like c'mon dude. SMH. No muscle or strength whatsoever, Celtics bullied him from his spots and KI too. Without LBJ to help KI get easy shots and without the Avengers to take eyes of KD, this is what you get.

If Claxton was able to shoot at least 50% from the FT line, series would be 2-2, no matter KD and Kyrie arent on fire. Have a look at math: Game 1: Nets lose by 1. Claxton shot 1 of 5 from the FT line. Game 4: Nets lose by 4. Claxton shot 1 of 11 from the FT line.

To be fair they were playing a team that had a net rating greater than the 96 bulls over the last 3 months, won 30 of 36 games and we're totally mismatched on defense. Offensively the Nets actually shot over 50% and 40% from 3 against a historic defense. Every game was very close and was the 3rd closest sweep in history. The nets problem was their size mismatch meant they couldn't ever get a stop on the defensive end. That's why they lost the series. But this series could've easily gone 6 or 7 and was way closer than the bulls bucks series that went 5. People like seeing the sweep but have no context of how it happened. On top of this, Vegas had the Celtics as high favorites in the series so it really wasn't an upset.
