I remember when Fields said that everything felt “slow”. What a huge difference between him and Williams.

I typically don’t like to compare Williams to Fields (or anyone else for that matter) but one thing that has stood out to me thus far has been how well Caleb handles the media. He’s well spoken, he says what needs to be said, and carry’s himself with dignity and class. I wasnt a big Caleb fan thru out college, so I really didn’t know much about him especially after he transferred to Southern Cal. But he is consistently earning my trust and respect, from the start. For instance, look at how Caleb reacted to getting drafted by the Bears compared to Justin’s reaction to getting drafted by the Bears…it was night and day and it shows me a lot.

1. They’ve shown that their not just gonna patch any hole on either lines with a big name free agent, but invest high draft picks. 2 Them not signing or drafting any interior defensive lineman shows how much faith they have dexter and how his off-season went

Bears added a lot of talent but have neglected the o line going for 2nd tier performers that are often hurt and only poor to serviceable when in the mix. The interior line was atrocious last year. Will any of the replacements be better? Nate Davis needs to be cut. and, one of these centers needs to pan out. The tackles ae average at best. Good luck.

So where would they get the talent? They grow on trees? They still have 1 more year to finish rebuilding this team and lots more draft picks next year. They got the best player available. If joe alt was there at 9, they would have drafted him over odunze

Darnell Wright was a ROOKIE and much better than average. Relax buddy dont get your panties in a bunch… The oline looked a lot worse with Fields back there, he was just too slow processing and his release is slow as molasses.

@@SBMiLzZ i think it was the fault of both the o-line and Fields. The center was terrible and they couldn’t stay healthy. Was it the 11th game last year when they finally got all the o-line starters actually starting together? But Fields didn’t help them out. He couldn’t find open guys and held on too long. Thats why we have these arguments on whose fault it was and there are two strong arguments. Did anyone ever think it was BOTH? But Caleb should be better and the line will get better. I mean we really dont have many positions to fill. Just d-line (3 tech and edge) and maybe a guard and/or center depending on how everyone performs this year. Bears have extra picks next year AND the falcons might lose pick due to tampering which moves all our pick up one spot if they lose their pick

I agree the oline is questionable at best as a unit. I wouldn’t even consider LG a lock because of Jenkins injury concerns and RG w/Nate Davis being a complete Bum. LT,RT I’ll ride with but the rest need to prove a lot.

Both tackles are above average, Tevin is injury prone and yes sad to say Nate’s gotta go, I don’t know if center is fixed yet either.

No it should be good. Williams will GET RID OF THE BALL. Not back there holding the ball like Fields did.
