@@Weezy10580 I still miss Tony. We went to Daytona from 2001-2016 but my mom quit when Tony retired. He was her replacement after DJ retired. I’ve been a Harvick fan since his Busch days, but was a Rusty fan before that. The win & in and stage racing is what made me lose interest. Will probably cheer for Blaney next year. Want to watch Kevin in the booth. He does great with Xfinity with Blaney
Been a Harvick fan ever since he started racing the #75 Spears truck. I loved the story of how Richard hired him to drive his Busch car. Dale told Richard, "This Harvick kid has a lot of talent. If you don't hire him, I will." Hope to see him in Victory lane soon and hoisting another Championship trophy in Phoenix.
Great interview Kenny. You really brought out how far Kevin has come personally & as a driver. Your show brings out the best in everyone. Thank you. You’re a great man & great ambassador for the sport
Kevin Harvick has been racing since I first started watching NASCAR, and I wasn't always his biggest fan, but as he got older, I started to appreciate him more. Loved KHI,as well , (especially in the early years), and I hope that he wins the championship. 4ever all the way.....
I loved that KHI gave Elliott Sadler a great Xfinity ride. Been a Kevin fan since his Busch years and after 2 championships was both excited and worried when he took over Earnhardt’s ride. Proved himself quick so didn’t worry long.
@@kristenwhite2701 I also love that KHI gave Sadler his wins in the Truck Series, as well as Ryan Newman and Cale Gale's wins in the Truck Series... and I, being a devout SHR fan, loved it when Kevin came on board, and the No 1 thing is how I love how Kevin has embraced his veteran driver status to be able to voice his mind in the garage, and whenever needbe, call someone out on their bs to be able to give us that rivals mentality that this sport will forever need throughout its existence then, now, and into the future
Kenny conversation is great. Love the old and new stories from the drivers in a relaxed not interview way. Between you and Jr I’m getting so much nascar I don’t have enough time in the day. Keep going buddy.
Thank you Kenny for the interview with Kevin. I've been a Harvick fan since he raced for Spears Racing in the Craftsman Truck Series and of course when he started racing for RCR's #29 car (repainted #3) RIP Dale Earnhardt Sr. And Kevin, thank you for the 20+ years of racing and let's get that 2nd championship Happy! 😋
Herm, you are so awesome! My 10 year old son is so sad Harvick is retiring. He is his favorite driver because he won in Phoenix at his first race in person.
Great conversation with Kevin!!! I appreciate him and what he has done for the sport. Man I love Harvick and always have. But they say don't meet your heroes. I met him twice while he was sponsored by Reeses in 05 and 06. He was absolutely miserable both times. I didn't even ask for an autograh because i was nervous he was gonna snap. As a young kid that's something that sticks with you. I still support him to this day though. Hoping one day to see him again and have a better experience.
I met Kevin & DeLana in the spring of 2001. At the time I was salesman at Galen Boyer Motors in Independence Missouri. Keven was fulfilling all of Dale’s scheduled appearances and the dealership was a GM Goodwrench dealer. At the time there were hats & posters & diecasts that Kevin signed for all of the people that had came to the dealership. I spoke briefly with DeLana and said I think NASCAR should start selling jerseys like other sports do. She replied that they were in the works but to this day I’ve not seen any. That year Kevin was not only running every Busch & Cup race, but also all of the tests, and all of the off track appearances. You know that took a Herculean effort on his part. Thankful that he took the time now for Kenny’s Conversation. Thank you both.
Since we lost Dale SR, Happy has been my guy. He is such a genuine man. I learn from your conversation with him that really is a gentle person with the spirit of a lyon. Gonna miss Happy but will see him on the broadcast. We love yeh brother Kenny I so much enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work
Like a lot of people, I learned to appreciate Kevin more as his career progressed. Excellent interview, Kenny. I said it before...these guys obviously respect and love you, because they appear to be super comfortable sharing stories with you. Thank you for what you're doing and thank you, Kevin for your time.
Awesome Conversation Kenny. Been rooting for Kevin since 1998 in the Busch series. I live @ 5 miles from AMS and have been to every race there since mid 80s, Kevin was a master at it with Bobby Labonte also. Love these Conversations and appreciate you guys that love the sport and give back to it. Thanks.
Kenny, your interviews of the classics (long time NASCAR drivers) are, and will always be, museum material. I hope you will allow someone to stand in for one episode and interview you. Kenny Wallace and Kevin Harvick both make me proud to be an American. Best Wishes to you both.
I was sitting in the east turn grandstands when Harvick won that race at Atlanta in 2001 and have been a fan all the way after that win. It's going to suck to see him go but I'm glad he lived up to the legend he replaced.
Herm I think you have hit the nail on the head with these interviews. All four have opened up to your line of questions, which makes it a honest show. Because they trust you excellent quality that Charlie and you have done. Love em all keep up the good work waiting on the next one!!!!!!
Thank you for these Kenny. I still enjoy nascar but damn do I miss the guys like Smoke, Harvick, the guys I grew up watching. Takes me down memory lane, keep them coming!!!
Kevin is so AWESOME!!!!!! People dont understand how difficult it was for Kevin to jump into Dale Sr car after he died, In my opinion Kevin is the only one that could of pulled that off, and not only did he pull it off he thrived in 2001. And now we all look back at his career and it has been almost unbelievable I can guarantee you that whoever else Richard might have put in there we would not be talking about his career like we have been able to do with Kevin Harvick... I my self am a DIE-HARD Earnhardt Sr fan and I am so proud of what Kevin has accomplished thru out his Nascar career!!!! You did it Kevin, YOU ARE ONE OF THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME not only Nascar driver but as a Human being. THANK YOU SIR
I always like interviews with Kevin Harvick because good or bad he normally owns up to his part of a situation , that most of us long-time Nascar fans saw on TV (either live or in replays and he normally explains things from a very experienced driver's ( 35 to 40 years, including when he took over driving the 3 / 29 car for RCR after we lost Sr 😊😅😢😮😂❤😂😊❤😊❤😊
Great interview Herm, Love these interviews you're doing. Keep'em coming. Going to be sad not see Kevin on the track but looking forward to seeing him in the booth. One thing I've learned as I've gotten older, you never appreciate the great athletes until they start retiring. I think when you're young you just assume they will be driving (playing) forever. You either root for them or against them and never appreciate the talent they have until they leave the sport.
There will never be another driver like him. I would love to see him go out with a win. Terry Labonte and Kenny Schrader were my utmost favorites but now Kevin is the class of this field
This was so much fun too, so hey there Happy Harvick! I loved that and I so get how you got that nickname. Thank you for sharing the fun story about you and DeLana's wedding that was really cute and pretty special, was great listening to you two. Good luck the rest of the year Kevin!
This is a great conversation. Enjoyed them all so far, but this one made me appreciate Happy a lot more. Will enjoy having him in the booth next season!
This was a great interview. Kevin showed us how the media can negatively portray a person. I have always had respect for Kevin and he is a true Champion. Thanks for this Kenny.
I was a die hard Rusty Wallace fan. Kevin Harvick filled the void when Rusty retired. Harvick was just as bad ass as Rusty! I picked two winners and HOF'ers. Great Interview Kenny!👊
If it was not for Kevin I would of not become a nascar fan. I feel he is the smartest driver on the track. He is so well respected in my eyes. I will miss him on the track. Now I have to find another fav…it will be difficult.
Man,, Thank you Kevin Harvick for being honest sharing your thoughts on this new car. Jmo I thought it was worse than the COT and instead of spending time trying to improve it I didn't think it was fixable.
I'm not always a Kevin Harvick Fan, but there are times, especially since 2018, that I really pull for Kevin for one reason he's always a likely Winner for any given race. He doesn't talk BS to his team, and he always gives his all until the Checker falls. He's an all around Winner.
Freaking awesome interview.... I have always been a smoke fan, then jumped on the 4. Thank you Kenny... This is a different podcast. Bud you are cutting it up
Okay, been subscribed for a while. After this interview, fantastic conversation by the way, we have got to get a conversation with Joey Logano. Thanks for sharing all these memories and stories. I go back to '87 as a fan of the sport. And yes I remember many of them. Kenny Wallace, you are the reason I got into RU-vid. Now I am addicted. Thanks
Man, I was watching the late models qualifying at north wilksboro , then my iPad crashed! Then I found this video, and it made It be better, not as good, but better!
I used to ask whoever I was watching NASCAR with? Did Wallace crash? Yep.. crap that sucks.. But I can't wait till I hear what he has to say.. we miss the Wallace interviews. It was awesome ❤❤❤
I around u brother age I grew u watch him and Dale what got me in the sport 😂 keep up the good work I was hoping these drivers had a great side about them away from track and great families love u Kenny keep it going good stuff ur a real guy
There's a lot of things I could say..no I was never an exclusive Harvick fan but then again me and my better half have been to many ...many races...you'll find about 15 numbers on our camper...Kevin is one...!!!
Herm Kevin is one of the last good ole boys but he learned from a lot of racers from your era and you know who they all are I don’t have to name names.
"Are you going soft" 😂😂😂 great interview Mr. Wallace👍 Harvick from 15 years ago wouldn't have said that!! Love Harvick and hope he gets a few wins this year!!
Kenny, I gotta be honest, I actually unsubscribed when you started having someone else run the channel and post stuff on your behalf. Now I'm thinking I'm back. This new format is awesome. Keep up the good work!
Another awesome show! Wallace and Schrader back in pavement late models in the same race, hell yeah! Somebody please tell me there will be footage of it on RU-vid afterwards 🙏😂
45:00 Kenny: Skirtttt.... You got me in the left rear. 😂 I ain't never seen Harvick that open in a interview. Good job 👍 Shoot man, KB could of gotten something out of this interview with he and his starting over at Childress with a clean slate. You never know. Funny how he and Kyle actually talk now and both having son's racing.
For a person watching the races, I have liked the fact that a race car driver is giving u input on the race other then a sports reporter, it was fun with DW but he was out of car so long, Clint Bowyer and Dale jr still know what's going on, and when u listen to Mike joy, he is great
He should sit fown and write a book about those two years so it tells us what the team players were going through and do a chapter for each race or month. And get the recollections from the main players in the timeline and then get Mike from NASCAR management to givs theid thoughts on how NASCAR has changed since 01...
