Remember folks, when they talk about the 'Darlington stripe', it originally was referring to the stripe on the CAR'S rear quarter panel that was caused by the car riding along the armco barrier. It WASN'T the stripe made on the wall by the car... The really fast cars routinely power slid through the turns just touching the guardrails with the rear fender. It was elevated to an art form by the legends of the day... 😎

Hearing Jimmy Johnson’s crash sound was brutal but awesome at the same time. In fact you can hear everything now it’s definitely odd but it’s so cool hearing it all. Also at least you don’t have to worry about spectators safety.
