@@grimaffiliations3671 He was going to fight Leon but he had a rib fracture and had to heal then Leon instead took the Nate Diaz fight instead of waiting for Masvidal to heal up.
@@grimaffiliations3671 Yes they were signed to fight but in UFC the only time you're obligated post signing is when its a title fight. They let Leon fight Nate because Leon hadn't fought anyone in 2 years during covid until the Belal eye poke that really lasted 1 round and a few seconds of the 2nd round + because Leon was still not well known + the 2 year absence it made sense for him to fight Nate since Kamaru isn't exactly a draw so they needed him to get exposure to Nate's large fan base to help build up the Usman fight if he did win. In UFC you sign a contract for fights but the only time its really set in stone is for title and interim fights only.
There’s a reason Covington has never been knocked out. He does not cut much weight so he holds so much water in his brain. I like Kevin, but what Khamzat did to him is what Covington would do to him for five rounds no submission, but just domination.
@@uubiinoo5741just checked his record.. Loss to Usman was Unanimous Decision, before that Loss to Usman was TKO (Punches), before that Loss to Albee was Submission (Guillotine).

@@maggotrawr You are such a filthy casual I could not resist to put you in your place. Win 13-1 Demian Maia You will notice that ALL of the fighters Kamaru had to beat in order to become CHAMPION, are the SAME EXACT fighters you just listed in an attempt to discredit Colby Covington's achievements and skill. Colby is the interim CHAMPION, he dismantled three former CHAMPIONS and did better against the reigning CHAMPION from 2019-2022 than anyone else other than the current 2023 CHAMPION. Do you understand what I am saying? The ONLY people to compare Colby and Kamaru against, are the same exact people they BOTH beat, the top 15 UFC fighters. That's it buddy. They both beat the same people in order to fight for the title. Colby, Kamaru and Leon are THE BEST welterweights in the world PERIOD. You are such a FILTHY CASUAL that you can't even look up their Wikipedias to check their records and understand what the fuck you are talking about. Read your comment again after reading mine: what you wrote is absolutely incoherent psychobabble to the most extreme degree for a casual fan. You have a lot to learn. Also, before you try to call me a filthy casual, I have three amateur fights and I was both the dominant and superior striker in each fight. I've been watching the UFC my entire life. Put some respect on Colby's name. Snowflakes like you will do anything you can to deny Colby's skills just because he promotes fights by talking mad shit about SNOWFLAKES LIKE YOU. Go do some actual combat sports training and take an amateur fight for once in your pathetic life and only then will you begin to remotely comprehend the level of skill that Colby Covington possesses. Kamaru lost ONCE before beating everyone else. Colby lost ONCE before beating everyone else. Then they fought EACH OTHER and NEVER LOST to anyone else until they fought each other AGAIN. Kamaru, Colby and Leon are the greatest welters in the world. Put some respect on each of their names you filthy fucking casual.
A lot if people overestimate colby cos he's held a few ex team mates he was brought in to learn how to wrestle and held them for a snide decision while they was incoming retirees
Kevin is just so damn likable. I can't help but pull for the guy. At this point, idc if any of those crime stoppages were staged....I like him enough to classify that as "clever brand management" instead of "disingenuous sleaze".
@@karlmarks6065 probably...wouldn't change my opinion of him. He's just likeable. The guy can chase clout or whatever, I'm not salty or bitter enough to hate a seemingly likeable, down to earth person over the internet.
I'm glad he rolls his dice in the UFC and puts on a good presser, instead of going to a minor league just to win and get no traction. This is the best spot he could be in, tbh I would prefer to watch him fight unranked guys and dominate them, I'd be fine with that over him becoming ranked and competing against gamers and monsters.
I’m 50/50 he has the skill set in standup to be champ imo he really just has to get wrestling to a another level and get the right time and opportunity
He doesn’t even need wrestling. He just needs super good take down defense. Like Izzy and edwards. They aren’t that good at wrestling but have good take down defense. They basically outstrike anyone they fight with.
@@saucegotti9416 You're right, it's totally the matchup. He is a great grappler, he just rarely if not ever uses it. He is fun to watch because if he recovers from pinning style grapping, he will make it worth the fight. It's nasty. He can attack very well from grapples, it's just not on the level of Khamzat, but Khamzat is more of a traditional hybrid fighter, KH loves the Brawler/Jiujitsu "street" style
All those guys are good strikers tbh. Colby’s striking is criminally underrated though. He’s pieced up everyone he’s ever fought except for the fluke with Alves.
@andrewsmith5512 he's not technically good he just doesn't back up so he eats shots because he has a good chin, if youcwatch him fight in exchanges he doesn't move out the pocket, most guys do, this helps him land more
Right. Colby has a gas tank like no other but the reach of Holland would be too much. Colby would wrestle, as he should. People would boo, and can go fuck themselves.
@@lookherelooklisten3078 Well he dint mop Kevin at WW either. So you agree then if the fight is at 178 like the Holland fight, Khamzatwould smash Colby 😂😂
@@yoaregey7296 CUMshot almost lost to a LW in burns .. and Colby wouldn’t fight the bum at 178 either make weigh or up go like he is.. he’s a 185er now

lmao i love kevin always keep it 100. but he gotta chill lmao my guy said "if i start a charity drive its because I'm trying to cover up some shit" hahaha he keepin it to real
If he doesn't get a BMF shot he said he'll go up to MW. Then he needs to fight Strickland. The trash talk between those two would be as entertaining as hell 😂
This guy retires after the khamzat humiliation ritual just to ease some embarrassment goes to show he's a very insecure person and not emotionallly stable
@@saucegotti9416Holland shouldn’t lack wrestling skills tho he been training BJJ under Travis Lutter for 12 years, I’m a fan not tryna bag on him but his Big Mouth Ego screwed his career thus far hopefully he gets back on track
Hes right, Duckington would spend 25 min hugging Holland while Kevin would look for that lucky punch, even masvidal was able to land clean shots in those wrestling exchanges. Holland who is bigger has good chances of landing that KO punch. But Colby only fights guys in a 2 losing streak or title shots, so its not gonna happen.
Colby just took a knee for the first responders mid fight! You all hate but if you was in colbys position you'd do exactly what he's doing, anybody would. He dominates Holland for 5 rounds aswell, has Kevin beaten a fight in the top 10 in his career? He's a mid level journeyman
@@rossicourvosi218 You mean like Colby?. At least Kevin took fights with the top. When was the last time Colby fought a top 5er? Colby is a ducker and a journeyman.
@@rossicourvosi218 No he didnt dumbass, Vettori, Brunson, Wonderboy, Khamzat, all top 5. Even his last win against ponzinibbio was better than anyone Colby has beat. Colby has only beat guys in a 2 losing streak in the last 5 years.
Yeah. He has 1 punch to Ko Colby before he’s on his back like a turtle. It’s mma guys not boxing. It’s sad when guys try the built in excuse “I’d win if the other guy don’t wrestle” like … lol
Khamzat finished Holland in like 2 minutes lol. Colby would lay on Holland against the cage and the fight would go the distance unfortuantely for us fans like it did against a 48 year old Jorge Masvidal
You people are so delusional. Not once has Colby been able to do what Khamzat does. They are nothing alive. Colby is the boring crotch sniffing wrestler who just holds people down and Khamzat literally tries to get the quickest finish he can. This is why Khamzat is popular than Colby.
Interesting, Jorge said the same thing 😂😂 Until these strikers realize that wrestlers will always dominate them especially if they stick to the game plan. Holland should be in the collegiate wrestling room if he plans on fighting a Colby or any other wrestler.
Any wrestler Holland goes up against I fully favor the wrestler because his track record with them is not good. Colby might be an arrogant douchebag most the time but he's no joke. I'm pretty sure he'd stop Holland in a round or 2
I think Colby would manhandle Kevin, it wouldn’t even be a competitive fight, it’s very unlikely to happen , Colby would have to lose several fights in a row in order for this matchup to happen
