Yes I really enjoy hearing his stories and I’m sure he’s got hundreds if not thousands as well. I’d like to hear his craziest story he ever experienced personally if it’s not tragic or traumatizing for him to share or anything.
Been watching wrestling since '90 and shoots for YEARS, first time hearing this. These guys must have stories for days. Last generation of workers to live that lifestyle, absolute legends.
I dig ur opinion boss you seem to enjoy ur wrestling with some good knowledge. i have a comedy wrestling review id love for a real wrestling fan to check out and let me know what you think. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sg8DAi6UUcQ.html
Current stars probably don't have stories to this level, but I'm sure they also have skeletons in their closets, but social media has everyone under a microscope so we won't hear about the good stuff until someone retires or snitches years later.
@@craigwilson3532 Yeah that wasn’t a quick comment to post. Animal, Stevie Ray, Honky, Sid…there’s so many good shooters. If I had to pin it to 2, those would be my top.
@@L_Train if I said “Storytellers” would it make you feel better? You seem easily offended when it comes to terminology, which is ironic considering your comment looks like it was written by a 6 year old.
YALL KNOW THAT STORY FAKE RIGHT.... THAT KELLOGS SHIT WAS SOMETHING HE MADE UP...BAM BAM BIGELOW DEAD SO HE CAN'T TALK ABOUT IT...I MEAN I THINK HE DID GET PISTOL WHIPPED... BUT THEM MEXICANS AIN'T SAYING NO SHIT LIKE THAT...
As someone who worked in a prison I can say what he said toward the end is so true. When someone only has their pride and respect, a little respect goes a long way.
Kevin Nash I'm from Oakland California I just discovered this channel and just wanted to say You literally was my favorite wrestler growing up I'm 36 now and I go back in watch those matches man u guys was the greatest RIP Scott Hall we loved y'all in the hood NWO FA FA FA FA 4LIFE BROTHER 🤣
This kind of stuff is important, not only from an entertainment perspective but seriously life lessons to be learned. These older guys won't be here one day, and documenting this is very powerful indeed.
did the thugs respect Bigelow by walking up to him and talking to him like that? no. they thought they had run of the place and could talk to whoever they wanted however they wanted, and that everyone would bow down and worship them out of fear of them, and answer their rude unwelcome questions.
@@HockeyNationHD you're both right, I think. Of course bam, or Kevin or Scott probably would've destroyed all them in an unarmed fight. But, if you're not armed and the other guy is likely to be armed... You gotta let slide a question about your tattoo and just remove yourself from the situation. Who knows, maybe bam had had bad experiences with guys like those guys and he was reacting off of that. And, of course, we're only hearing one side of this story as well
@@wolflover789 Yes but the point is, Nash is full of it here as usual. The disrespect didn't start w Bigelow's comments, it started w the way the gangbangers were talking to the wrestlers - and in fact that they were talking to them at all. Imagine walking up to Bam Bam Bigelow in a social context and without knowing him or introducing yourself or being in a conversation, just asking him that question about the tattoos on his head. You wouldn't do it. These guys were taking liberties. Bigelow stood up for himself, and good for him. Was it prudent? No, he could have been killed for it. But he kept his self-respect. That Nash would have acted the way he did at the time is one thing; that he would decades later tell this story this way doesn't reflect well on him, esp since Bigelow has passed. And he honestly doesn't seem to understand that Bigelow was the one being disrespected.
@@HockeyNationHD HOW ABOUT THIS JACKASS BAM BAM GOT PISTOL WIPPED AND RAN LIKE A HO AND GOT CHECKED BY HIS HOMIES NEVER AGAIN TO RIDE WITH THEM FOR PUTTING THERE LIFES IN DANGER SO FUCK HIM AND YOU
@@tmux yeah… Bam Bam got shown to be a bitch there… but he was acting like one from the start. Fronting about his head tattoo was unnecessary. He must have been really drunk or something.
"Man always recognizes Man" ... Yes sir. I'm a firm believer in that. Never born or raised in the hood (quite opposite) but working construction you meet and work with a lot of people that do have background in that area(which is fine).... And if you just start talking we'll realize that we have a lot more in common than we might think... That builds respect... friendship..etc... Super cool. Kevin Nash reminds me of my uncle 😂
A guy's guy, knowledgeable, authentic and most importantly not a mark, the chemistry between him and Big Kev is awesome.....imagine Sam Roberts, Rosenberg or Satin in his place...yuck
Literally every single bit of I've heard, just in pieces from all three and none of them match. Bam Bam's version doesn't contain much of anything after "You just don't have to be a pussy." Exact quote. Scott's versions was, I think just with fans... but Bam Bam was a dick to them. You know... In character. Biggest thing is... Nash is a great story teller... Not much of a reporter though if you get me.
"Arco Arena is in the middle of nowhere!" FACTS! I used to hate the trip to Arco Arena as a kid to go watch WCW and WWF because it was so far! My uncle used to work at Arco Arena when I was a kid and we always got free tickets to all the fights and the basketball games as well as concerts, but damn the trip to Arco Arena was horrible. It no longer exists, btw, it is now a building used as the Mexico Consulant, and the new Arena is in downtown Sacramento and it is called Golden One.
Arco arena ( sleep train) hasn't been used for nothing since it shut down and its no longer is it in the middle of nowhere (currently being demolished) teaching hospital going in its place. Mexican consolant is a totally different building and is still operational
@@christerry1611 you know what, I didn't start seriously watching wrestling until 1995, right around the time WCW got huge and NWO was about to explode. I watched that until around 1997 when it was obvious that WCW was going down the toilet. After that I left wrestling alone and then began to watch it again in 1999 when WWF had Stone Cold & The Rock at rheir peaks! I truly enjoyed those years but stopped watching wrestling overall when Brock Lesnar left to UFC. That was when I made the transition as well to the UFC lol at that point I was no longer a kid so wrestling just wasn't cutting anymore. 🤷🏽♂️
@@christerry1611 but I will say, watching Bill Goldberg and Sting as well as Kevin Nash and my all time favorite wrestling Scott Hall making an entrance at Arco Arena was just magic. It was such a beautiful experience those days.
I use to live by Scott (Bam Bam) he had a rough sense of humor sometimes. Sometimes he could come across not so friendly. Had to catch him in right mood. RIP Mr Bigelow
@@jameswesten2018 he lived in my area - 4 miles away right before he moved to Florida and I knew him through a friend - he also had a hamburger / ice cream place in town while I owned Subway.
My buddy lives across the street from a 1%er named Smoky. He says he’s the nicest guy in the world who checks in on them when he notices things like their fire alarm going off at 1am. That said I wouldn’t dare cross him and sometimes you see weird people in cars rolling up in front of his house just stopping for a minute then driving off. I try to be cool with everyone!
Back then when you watched wrestlers on TV, they were legit scary - Bigelow, Earthquake, Vader, Undertaker, Kane, Meng. And on the flipside of the coin the smaller wrestlers were incredible performers - Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Randy Savage, Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels.
I love Nash. I grew up in the city and it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from. Give people respect and they will leave you alone. Great message. Real knows real!
Yeah, this is sad. But Bam Bam was probably just being a dick and having a pissing contest. He ran into a burning building to save kids. He was a good guy, in spite of this story. I hope it was just a one time thing.
Sometimes Bam Bam would say some dumb shit to keep up with his heel image. He was probably just trying to be a dick and intimidating and went to far. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if he was racist towards Latins. I mean, he WAS from New Jersey after all 😂
Yea, pretty stupid. I don't think he was racist, and he did it cause he thought the guy was ribbing him a little. These guys prob get challenged all the time and people always talk trash to them. He didn't realize the guy was being friendly, so he ran his mouth, and found out sometimes you are just plain wrong and have to take what you deserve.
Hall and Nash are the only wrestlers who can pull up in any hood in the world and get love. That’s how much they meant to inner city kids like myself growing up.
Funny, all these years, and the Bam Bam story is only now coming out. I’ve met Scott. I’ve met Kevin. I have met Kid. They were nothing but cool to everyone. On multiple occasions. They were WAY MORE generous with their time and attention than some of those who bash the Kliq on a frequent basis.
I've met Kevin and Kid and both were awesome to be around and gave ya all the time in the world and will sign whatever. Whatever Kliq rep backstage is like, they're all great to meet in person.
People who bash the klik want to be liked by the boys, the boys get together and bitch about their lives and massage each others ego's, the klik all came together because they wanted to be actually successful in their career, they didn't bitch about their boss, they discussed how they could improve as performers, and them "getting in with Vince" was done after them discussing how they could get him to see how serious they were about making things work. This shit is never said though because (a) the naysayers would never change who they are and how they look at things and (b) the klik just wanted to do positive things with their careers and didn't/don't want to dwell on, ironically, politics.
@@stevenhigney3985 Nash, for instance, had kept himself busy, he's sporadically in movies, that's the attitude of a person who likes to try new things, being positive etc.
If you give respect and you are respectful, the same will come back to you. If you're running around out here being disrespectful 24/7 to everyone and everything, its just a matter of time before it catches up to you. Watched a lot of people learn that the Hardway and it woke me up before it was too late, love each other and show respect, it is that easy. ❤
Agreed but people change, and people can snap. I had a friend in school, that was so layback and harmless. But one day my sister told me, you know your friend his brother died in a car accident. The accident really missed him up, he joined a gang and became a drug addict. I couldn't believe it the guy had never been in any trouble or anything. Just that death changed him. And I worked in a jail, so I saw him all tattoo up gang member and everything. I didn't say anything but I nodded you know like what's up. No response the guy was a zombie just looking out in to space. Anyway I believe everything happens for a reason. Like evil people became evil because of things that happened to them.
@@benicionavaira4501 Absolutely, my dad died when I was a kid & the pain from it all caused me to go down a dark path for a large portion of my life (4+ years clean from drugs/alcohol/even nicotine now) so I totally understand how that can happen to someone and it breaks my heart because I can almost feel every word you said. You are right that it definitely doesn't just happen overnight, things you start to see & probably even do, they begin to shape & mold you into someone you don't even recognize yourself anymore. Anyone who reads this & may be in a dark place themselves, there is hope if you want to get clean. It IS possible and well worth it on the other side. ♥️ All love to everyone all over the world
Bam Bam was always cool to me when I was a kid. And later I felt he was a good threat to Goldberg when they had their program. Still remember Goldberg exiting the smoke to do his bit and Bam Bam waiting to hit him. That was great.
It's all about respect no matter where u go. u show respect you'll get it 10 times more back at u. if some people learn that this world would be a better place
Wow! I'm from Sac and I use to work the shows at Arco Arena. (Also a huge wrestling fan) This story just rocked my boat and tickled my fantasies. This story must have been from the 90's or early 2000's . It is not in the middle of nowhere anymore. In fact it's suddenly a highly desirable shopping place and a full blown city all on it's own. I do know the store he is talking about, and it still stands. We call it all Natomas now. That venue homed some of the best shows I've ever seen in my life (wrestling and others) Arco Arena has sadly met it's actual destruction this year in 2022 I'm not sticking up for the neighborhood though. Be careful everywhere in Sac
The story sounds like a very colorful Hollywood script. But I can believe it. The 1990's night scene did have a Hollywood script vibe. Back in those days, one night out gave you enough material to write a thick book. Even if you did not engage, you still had a front row seat to all the amusement. And like Kevin said, if you're cool, then everyone around you is cool. No one wants a conflict. You get what you give.
@@_D01 That’s what happens when you build communities away from everything in the middle of empty land. Elk Grove did that, but they actually had plans to bring in business. As for places like Rio Linda or DPH, nobody wants to go to those places where people feel unsafe. Honestly, what’s the best area of DPH, El Camino?
9:48 this is so true. I was so much more ready to fight over the stupidest thing when I was younger and had nothing going, because nothing about my life made me feel respected. Thankfully I wasn't armed or in a gang or god knows what dumb mistakes I might have made.

I mean to be fair, who is going to mess with a guy who is near 7 ft? Not saying he isn't mostly correct, but you gotta be careful no matter what. Any time I was in those situations, you cannot let your guard down at all. Be cool, but be ready to react if something happens.
Not sure about in America but here in the UK the big guys tend to get challenged the most. People think if you knock out a big guy then your rep gets enhanced. If you do it to an easy target, it’s considered bad form. Jacked guys in bars and stuff constantly have people trying to start fights with them.
I could see someone like Bam-Bam Bigelow doing that. Trying to be tough in person and badass to the wrong people can end up in bad results. I believe Kevin here.
I’m amazed at how many wrestlers stories are unverifiable lol every wrestlers story starts with people that aren’t here anymore or he makes someone looks so good they’d never deny it
Most wrestlers back in the day were pretty much social outcasts and some were borderline crazy so a lot of the stories aren't that far fetched. Mix drugs and alcohol with sky high testosterone levels and you're in for a wild ride
I have to disagree with Nash on his as long as you show respect you have nothing to worry about. There are tons of victims every day who are minding their own business that get attacked or confronted by thugs who just don’t give a shit
Statistically it’s tiny. The overwhelming majority is around gang rivalry, showing disrespect (like this Bam Bam example), accidental crossfire, getting too brave and mouthy from alcohol/drugs etc. MOST people just want to go about their day/evening with little fuss.
@@liquidgeorge I mean inter gang violence may be more prevalent but I disagree it’s not common to just be minding your own business and be attacked or robbed. It happens all the time. Just watch your local news. 2-3 stories a night innocent people being robbed or attacked.
Yes it happens, but look who it happens to. Elderly, women, and weak looking men etc... Stay in good shape, keep your head on swivel, and have a strong presence about you. Noone is picking a fight with you. You're not an easy target. Why pick you out of 100s of easier victims to attack?

I grew up in south Mississippi in the 70's and 80's and I was big into wrestling when I was a kid, until I was about 13 and it gradually faded from my periphery as moved on to girls, football, and partying. But I love these podcasts with these old school pro wrestlers and their stories. And while alot of people don't give them the credit they deserve as world class athletes, and as such, they think they. weren't all that formidable opponents in a street fight. But I knew that just because there was soap opera- ish story line and the matches were crudely choreographed, they were top shelf athletes and dangerous af in any kind of scrap. And knowing that fact, I always thought they were mostly macho nacho assholes with bad attitudes, but these podcasts have changed that perspective big time, because Kevin Nash, and alot of his fellow wrestlers are some super cool dudes. I'd love to sit around with some cold beer and a toke or two of good reefer, and listen to these cats swap old war stories.

His story about Bam Bam seems pretty plausible to me if you read up about Bam Bam's personal life. He has a whole decorated criminal history littered with assault, kidnapping, jail time, all sorts of stuff dating back to his childhood. Wowza
@@anartisticgent5867 You are aware that multiple things about a person can be true right? Him being a bounty hunter for a short period of time (which he was also jailed for in Mexico) does not negate the rap sheet he acquired as a young man.
Say what you want about Big Sexy, but I think a lot of people were jealous that he TOOK what he wanted. He didn't whine and plead for it, he knew what he wanted and took it. He didn't just do everything for himself either. if he were, he could have killed so many of those guys out there being Vader levels of stiff. He made sure a lot of other people get paid.
