I was in a high end watch boutique and saw many very prestigious brands in the flesh but really was blown away at the steel finish on the Grand Seikos. Kevin is right, you really need to see the watches in person. RU-vid videos and print ads cannot give the watch justice.

My best friend told me about Credor and Grand Seiko 20 years ago. He owned both of them back then and I instantly saw the finish Kevin is talking about. They put a cap on the pivots on the dial side. They are different.

Same guy who said that he doesn’t hire people who “leave at 5:00”. After all, why should someone’s health, family life, joy of life, etc be more important than his $3M watch collection?

Love to see him talk about a passion we share. The great thing is you can get into collecting watches for little money and still get a lot of enjoyment and even profits!

Lol Kevin definitely does this thing where he speaks super highly of his watches in a way to seemingly increase the demand for them. It’s like he knows some other big collectors are watching and will buy things he suggests basically influences the market in his favor. I mean it’s natural to praise your watches, it’s just something about the way he does it at times that is so clear and deliberate lol 😂

Mr O’Leary is very competitive. Theres have been a few episodes (with T Baldaserre) where Mr O’Leary shows a more objective appreciation for lower priced pieces (Hamilton Khaki Field). In this episode, I appreciate his interest in encouraging high priced manufacturers (FP) to make more accessible watches. As a host of my own watch channel, there is a massive opportunity to reposition a luxury brand among the other 98% of watch owners…if it only serves to remove the snobbish perception surrounding some luxury brands. Omega has done this very effectively. It’s a balance becaus you have a lot of Omega owners who don’t want to see their high value pieces depreciate.

Mr.wonderful I'm sure everyone tells you there a big fan --but i love wondercare! ive been so nervous to travel with my watches and lose them at airport or etc. get stolen. Much needed and of course a watch connoisseur came up with this genius idea (insuring just for the time you're away) love it!!!

Spent thousands on luxury watches, never once thought of kissing one my Rolex, IWC or Omegas. Mr. Wonderful is definitely living his best life, even if it now revolves around materialistic bs.

If someone watches this that is not a watch collector or lover, I can imagine the cringe felt towards this. However to know how much work, effort, dedication went into that collection I can completely understand how he can kiss his watches. I am a regular Rolex boutique customer with a Daytona next year and a Pepsi in my collection plus two others and I kiss mine. Fame and money is not all that’s required to get these pieces. You have to genuinely love watchmaking and wait years if not decades to be where he is. Of course his money and reach helps but i know how hard some of those pieces are to get so i completely get him and view it as love instead of cringe

Kevin, since you are all about the dial and red is your color of choise I highly suggest you to check out Seiko Presage SRPE41. Truly beautifull dial and yet so inexpensive.

dude a GMT IS a dual timezone watch. Trying to flex with two watches is weak.

I just spent $500 on a leather band, couldn't believe it. I could have got a daytona super clone for that. The strap is excellent, tough, textured and i can put the rolex clasp on it, which is legendary in mind because of micro adjustments. Hey just so you know, i did Rolex Puzzle clones in Las Vegas during the super bowl. So while you john mayer and Tom Brady are the only people with real ones, i bet dozens are rocking them with chinese movements after the super bowl

The best of this collection is the first F P Journe he showed. I like flashy watches and all the rest look like common, cheap watches. I started wearing two watches years, years ago, he copied me.
