A great catch up today with the Black Leopards Nikita and Coal ! i just love how the coats look, they are majestic animals. Thank you all for the support recently it has been overwhelming and means so much to me. Hope you enjoy this week's video ! Edit - in the text description - Also, to anyone who notices the pigmentation in Coal's eye, he has had this for some time and it's nothing to be alarmed about. It’s quite common in old cats and is called melanosis, a benign deposition of melanin.
Love all of the BEAUTIFUL animals, your relationships with them, the love you clearly have for them and them for you, your beautiful soul, and this AWESOME channel. God bless you Kevin and your great family of fur babies.
Thanks for surprising me for my 12 birthday today, I really appreciate that u drove from ur house to the sanctuary to surprise me,and also thanks for the stuffed lion u gave me I will always look after it and take it everywhere I go including New Zealand,I will never forget that moment.
It's good to see Nikita and Coal looking so well. They are gorgeous cats. I am in love with all the characters at the Sanctuary, but since it's been awhile, I would love updates on Gandalf and Sibinde. Understandably, it would have to be from outside the enclosure, but I'm sure no one cares. Hearing his majestic roar just makes the longing to see him all the stronger!
Leopards are so incredibly cute, especially when rolling around or pawing for the camera, it melts my heart. Nikita is just a house cat born into the wrong body i believe 🥰
I love how when the leopards see something they want that's off limits i.e. the camera floof, they immediately "display their cuteness" as a diversion 😆
@@CB-xr1eg I deserve neither such praise nor such censure. I deserve neither such praise as I did not coin the delightful and amusing term "floof"- it is a common internet slang word denoting an exceptional, airy fluffiness. I deserve no such censure as I am not guilty of inflicting innocent readers with meaningless personal neologisms such as "enoof"- the word is quite real. It is indeed slang, but it is an actual, perfectly searchable word on your search engine of choice.
Oh Cole. His response to you is so funny: “ Of course, Kev. What a stupid question!” Thanks for talking about the enclosure differences and for leaving those important lion calls at the end. Hope you had enough eggs to share with the rest of the class. 😊💕
I have learned so much from you, Kevin. I can't thank you enough! I have learned about typical behaviors of leopards, lions, and hyenas, and can now compare and contrast while watching. I'm so happy to see Coal and Nakita looking so good in their older age! I'm curious about how Ginny and Vayetse are adjusting, since the sad loss of Livy. Take good care of yourself, and thank you so much for all that you do!🦁💖
What a pleasure to see Coal and Nikita so energetic despite their advanced age, in good health despite their misadventure and still so fond of pilchards in tomato sauce. They are unique and absolutely magnificent. Thanks for answering my question about Coal's eye pigmentation. Very informative as always.
You may have seen my comments before, but one of the things I taught my son as he was growing up was that big things do big jobs and little things do little jobs, but ALL JOBS ARE IMPORTANT! I’m grateful for the love and attention that you give these beautiful animals. I wish I could offer you more. There is something sacred in the kinship of life and those who are sensitive to its balance and gifts. We’re on opposite sides of the planet, yet so many of us- fans of yours and fans of those in your charge. I’m just profoundly grateful that an individual as yourself maintains this commitment and trust. There’s no currency in a simple thanks, though I feel it’s far from meaningless. Wishing you love, health, fulfillment, and long life. What goes around comes around. THANK YOU KEVIN❣️ PS: I wish that the animals could take you on a walk about and point to your wonderful nuances, tell us about people, and how you’re the cat’s pajamas, as the idiomatic expression goes. Anyway, thanks. I miss Amy and Siam, but I know how well they were loved and accepted for their own individuality. P
I agree. I used to want one as a child (what did I know!). Where I live there used to be a guy that owned one. He would sit with it on the grassy knoll between a shopping center parking lot and a very busy boulevard. He accepted payment for photo ops.
I love it when we get to see Coal and Nikita or Duke and Kahn. They are so different from the lions. I remember when Coal and Nikita were so sick from the poison. What a scary event. I love it when you play hide and seek with hiding eggs! Their amazing sense of smell always leads them to their prize. The other thing I love to see is when they get fed. Usually their dinner is high in the beautiful trees and to watch them gracefully leap very high to get it is amazing. I guess since they are getting older you don't put it so high. Anyway, thanks Kev for the highlight on the gorgeous black leopards, Coal and Nikita.
I Loved how Coal answered when you asked if he wanted pilchards!! They are VERY Smart--my black cats used to say words back in meows in such a way that I knew they understood me!! Good Kitty NATION!! Thank You Loves!! 💛💛🐈⬛🐈⬛
I love them all and learn so much from you every time you talk about any of the marvelous creatures at the sanctuary. Thank you, Kevin, for all you and your team do, and for sharing with us.
Love these black beauties!! A kid of the 60's, loved Jungle Book, my favorite was Baguera. Simply gorgeous!! Thank you for helping us to know their personalities. . ❤❤❤
Leopards are my favorite animals, and I love Nikita so much. She has such a lovely temperament, and is such a beautiful cat. Coal as well is a handsome old leopard, and carries himself well still. Beautiful cats
They are so beautifull, possibly the most beautifull of all the cats.. There is something very special about them.. I really enjoy your interactions with them..
I love the black leopards. There just so aloof. They see Mr. Kevin & act like they don't care. But when the other big cats see Mr. Kevin. They are very vocal about it.
The leopards are so interesting to see. So different in behavior than the lions. Such captivating creatures as well, and very entertaining to watch. Who doesn't love a good "salted" egg? 😂😂 I'm so glad that they recovered from the poisoning. How horrible for them, and you all. I noticed that Cole's left eye has a lot of brown pigment. Is that normal, or does he have an issue with his eye?
Kevin said in a comment “to anyone who notices the pigmentation in Coal's eye, he has had this for some time and it's nothing to be alarmed about. It’s quite common in old cats and is called melanosis, a benign deposition of melanin.”
Kevin, these are my favorite video's. Get to see ALL the animals at the Sanctuary. It is plain to see how much each individual animal in your care holds. Enormous Love and Admiration from you. You dedicated your life for them, and clearly you love them ALL in your own way🤗 God Bless you for your compassion and dedication to your the Sanctuary animals🙏 You are as well as your staff, volunteers, your devoted Dr.Caldwell and his staff🙏 These animals are TRULY LUCKY to have you ALL❤
Hi Kevin i love these two , they are just beautiful not only to look at but they are so agile ! i remember the fire it was heartbreaking i truly thought the animals might die , i was bereft at the just the thought god only knows how you felt ! my heart was right there with you !
It's true what they say, a cat is a cat is a cat! I've seen that "oh I'm so cute, you should give me a treat," roll so many times from my own cats 😂 Love the design on that shirt, Kev!
I'm glad to see Coal and Nikita again, I was hoping to see these two as they haven't been shown on the channel all that much. Plus, as much as I love the lions, leopards have a place in my heart to.
I love the personalities of older cats. They are both so beautiful. We sometimes have to remind ourselves as humans to just love all the quirks of our cats and appreciate them for themselves, lol humans pretty self absorbed creatures themselves
Awesome to see Nikita & Coal (spelling of Cole?) up close. Their coats are soooo beautiful, I noticed Coals eyes are different, each eye 👁️ looked a different color ? I also wondered about your interaction Kevin, with them. I’m guessing it isn’t as safe, to roll around like you do with the Lions, I know you have a unique bond with them.. what of these beautiful, yet suspicious animals Nikita & Coal. I’ll bet when they were little you were more physically involved ? Never get tired of your video shares. As soon as I can afford to JOIN I will … As a subscriber I put your channel in my Face Book page a Lot, & have shared you with my friends.. look forward to the next visit.. Sharon 🇺🇸😊
Kevin made the comment “to anyone who notices the pigmentation in Coal's eye, he has had this for some time and it's nothing to be alarmed about. It’s quite common in old cats and is called melanosis, a benign deposition of melanin.”
That’s crazy that they are that old and still in that good of shape. Cole and Nikita are one of my favorites at your sanctuary…may these leopards live their elder years to the fullest… with many cans of pilchards….😂
This is one of the few places I can see the intimate lives of these secretive creatures. Who would have known they could be so affectionate or playful and gentle! Nikita is like the little sister I wish I had.
Kevin you are not only the lion Whisperer but Hyena and Panther whisperer. They are so lucky to have you in their lives. Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful ones with us. What a wonderful life with animals. You work hard but what rewards you have.
I love the original pilchard story, when they let you know that tomato sauce is essential, after you having a bit of a bad conscience being "only" able to get them with tomatoe sauce on the second go....
Kevin, you must have upgraded to 4k because that some of the best shots of a leopard I have seen. You could have channel with just cameras on the animals, you have a ton of viewers. I could could see elementary schools watching your channel. As always I love seeing Meg and seeing her swim.
I love you and your good heart. It's amazing that you film and give such care to all the babies. Thank you for allowing us to view these beautiful babies. Hugs
I absolutely love watching them eat Pilchards (is that how it’s spelled?). I had never heard of that until your videos. I wonder, do the lions ever show any interest in Pilchards?
Saw a black leopard on a side road five minutes outside Skukuza gate in Kruger. Was driving and didn't have camera ready, so no pix. But memory is engraved.
I always give a thumbs up and try to leave a comment, in the hopes it will help this incredible channel. We all need do what we can to help when it comes to saving all animal's.
