“As a young black man, I use my voice to uplift and motivate my community. This project is NECESSARY for the culture. Creating a soundtrack to our movement for racial/gender equality and human decency will help to shed light to those that may not understand. Music is more than just entertainment, it's the rhythm for our souls.” - Kevin Ross
“I want to honor my ancestors and those that came before me that had to deal with the color of their skin and the suffering that it brought upon them. So I wanted to use my voice and my gift to uplift other young, black people to not be afraid and to be 100% themselves.” - Trevor Jackson
"I use my voice and my music for change because I want to have kids one day, and I want them to be able to grow up into a world that is safe. Where they won't be judged by the color of their skin. They won't be afraid of people that are supposed to protect us. That's why I wanted to be a part of this project. I felt like it was just something I've needed to do in my career, and be a part of a message in music that really states what's really going on out here. Obviously R&B and Hip Hop and a lot of music is sort of like a fantasy world and a distraction from what's really going on out here. But it's important that I am a part of music that pushes the culture forward for change."
