It was never this hard back in the day. Being in my early 60s now I just shake my head. You had some women with children who were not married out there but it has become exponential combined with a sense of entitlement. Back in the day if you were able to be on public assistance, you had to go pick up that government cheese and it made folks want to get their stuff together because it was embarrassing. It was easier to deal with women who had kids back in the 70s and 80s because the mentality was different.

Not always. 60% of the years in my marriage, I made more. He made more when we started and supported me in my dreams. I will always be loyal to this man even if I make 4-10 times more. I am probably going to double his income this year. I am crazy about him. Met him 18 years ago. I stuck with him when we had little to nothing (my dad even gave us money for the down payment on a home ) and we just bought said house and he then lost his job (I wasnt working yet ) . I followed him to another state to live in a hotel while he found a job . Never doubted us. Disloyal people will leave you no matter what. Now, almost 16 years later, we have a beautiful home with a pool, a child, savings, growing our investments, and we take 4 vacations a year, some international. I even placed a 1 million dollar policy on me that I pay, so if I die , this man that I adore can have the means to pay for all the help he may need if I am gone.
