@@mellowbrotha No it doesn’t. It’s actually the opposite. It’s about image and presentation. It will be one thing if he went there portraying himself as a thug in flippant mode. It’s another going as himself, a prim and proper black man. Repairing our image goes beyond the things we do within the community, it also entails projecting a particular image to the outside world. You have to be there to show it. Also, since we are talking about image, “hung black male” may not be a helpful name.
@@PITA-kd2jn They haves and the have not. The white judge living a nice life and the black judge just regular. Plus the white judge act like he is over the black judge.
@@useyourwords3286 I definitely agree with you that diversity of thought is healthy for growth, especially for a community. But the reality is, is that Kay ideology is more persuasive in the black community than Kevin Samuels or Anton’s type of ideology. Many of us champion victimhood over accountability, so when a man like KS shows up with a different viewpoint, people like Kay will show how they really feel through their nonverbal communication. I mean, come on, looking away, turning off your camera, making faces? That’s just disrespectful and it shows so much about her and her ability to even respect someone’s opinion.
I'm Asian and I'm proud of my people for not consuming negative stereotypes like nerds or martial artists. We have successful movies like Crazy Rich Asians and 2020 Oscar winner Parasite. Kevin Samuels and Kwame Brown are leading the charge, I hope AA people will stop supporting media that portrays you guys in a negative light and take control of your own image.
Kay is such a bitter woman lol she can’t stand listening to logical conversations that she can’t delude ... her facial expressions, body language, and literally being inattentive shows soo much about her character
I don't think she is SMART enough to understand the subject matter. She confuses or misunderstand the subject matter and project it through her own perceived reality.
@Willis Tower Yea she seems like she'll be the one being wrong just to be spiteful. Her body lauguage shows all signs of not agreeing just cause she wants to. She's rough. Lol
@@kimmmimemwest1895 yea KS is advising some ladies overweight to get in shape. This help towards the women in community. If gyms are set up in community, he is advising some women to get into shape. It's resource tackle possible health issues
Kay is so disrespectful. She really needs to be put off the show. If anybody who watches this video & thinks otherwise, you need your head examined. She paid no attention to anything that was said. She even signed off at one point. She has no respect for any man that appears, or says anything on the show. Lapeef how do you tolerate this? Nobody checks this? She really is disgusting!!!
@@ThatFlyPigeon Most of us already know what's out there. We been in the dating game long enough, & we've seen the bullshit. We're tired of it. She gets no props & should be gone. we tired of her bullshit!!!
@@smokenojoke8182 the same way she would block out her father, if she has a relationship with him. Mr. Samuels is an elder by any community standards. To show this level of disregard for an elder is terrible.
@@VoidSurfer9 this comes from bw being indoctrinated by institutions or by their mothers to see men as worthless and inferior. Ask the millennial or gen z generation of women if they want marriage and the answer is no but these same women will be happy raising a child in a broken home or in a community full of women.
I love the way Courtney's face just lights up whenever Kevin comes on the show. Props for recognizing Hollywood Shuffle, I suggest everyone view it. Robert Townsend financed that entire movie on his credit card, it is funny yet sends a powerful message.
I’ve been saying for over 10 years that if you ask black women what is their favorite movie and they will say “The Color Purple,” a very destructive movie. Even Alice Walker’s daughter rejected her misandry and feminism. She doesn’t even wanna let her be around her child. Because of how toxic her mindset is.
I like Kay and I’m all for a healthy discussion and good back and forth but I really think she’s contrarian and disagrees for the sake of disagreeing. She also doesn’t make sense half the time and she’s rambling.
In the 80's when I was I little kid my dad, my uncles and even the church all refused to promote "the color purple". Til this day, I haven't seen that movie.
Lapeef: "Imma go on bring up Kevin to the show." Translation: "I'm going to bring in a tactical nuke that would go off on anyone trying to act a fool."
Please remove Kay Aye from this show. I am all for difference in opinion but she legitimately adds no value to this show other then bringing views and being a “heel” or intentional bad guy. The sad part is, she isn’t faking it and this isn’t scripted. We are having very serious conversations and trying to push our people forward and she embodies everything wrong. It’s exhausting to watch her video after video not add anything but hostility and disrespect and self centered self serving opinion
I believe they can’t kick her off the show because she signed a contract with the show for a certain percentage they pay her to be on the show and is contracted a certain time length to be on the show and if they kicked her off they’d be breaking contract
This is one of the reasons I will never watch a Tyler Perry movie, strictly because of the 'Mister' archetype that he portrays about black men. You notice how - in a lot of his movies - the high earning, supposedly well to do black man, turns out to be an abusive piece of excrement that no sane man would want to be and that no sane woman should want to be with; And that's with near to every one of his movies. It's ridiculous.
I never heard of him till Kevin Samuels mentioned him. I just thought of his films as chick flicks back in the day so many dudes took no notice of them. Back then I thought those movies was too white.
Anton tried to throw Boyz N the hood under the bus...... but when you watch that movie it clearly displays the importance of the father in a child’s life and he depicted a brutal contrast between a single mother (doughboy a gang banger and Ricky a teenage father) and a single father (trey on his way to college)... all in all boyz n the hood was ahead of its time and the message stands up till this day
I love when Kevin says we only need 10%. Black people make up about 12-13% of the US population. I've always said we only need about 5-7% of black folks on the same page to make changes for us. Forget fighting and arguing with the other fools. Everybody can't go.
After the color purple, later “What’s Love Got to Do With It?” Came out demonizing Ike Turner which tarnished the BM’s image even more. Come to find out the movie was a lie and Tina was the actual abuser, not Ike
I'm really glad KS, comes over to your channel to help provide context and understanding what took place before your team was born and you were small. For some reason our people take entertainment too far and allow fictional images to become fact. Color purple was fiction, Waiting to exhale was fiction, Madea's family reunion was fiction. Autobiography of Malcolm X is fact.
I think it’s sad how women AND MEN hate on this guy. He’s literally trying to wake up the black community, but all they hear and hold on to is the negativity. I challenge those ppl to let go of the superficial judgement, be openminded and see the bigger picture. Black ppl can literally be so powerful if we stick together.
You ever peep how Kay only nods and shows genuine interest when the convo is on or agreeing with feministic views about men? I truly don’t like her on this platform since she really opposes everything truly good this platform is standing for. Like you literally feel her negative feministic egotistic energy through the screen it’s weird.
In 1994-1997 the color purple was required reading in Benjamin E Mays. An Atlanta public high school. A majority black school. Along other readings that documented black female pain. I wonder who signed off on that. 🤔
“BIG BLACK LOVE To Magic And Michael Jordan. In a world where the flawless black mind is being downgraded and attacked... its refreshing to see black people with a real attention span and steady grip on reality. I really enjoy watching this broadcast! Especially when there is NO TAWANA buggaring up the issues with her mental fakejuitsu!
@g4do... That was well said...I like when older and younger brothas can have a positive and constructive discussion about uplifting the community.. Its a start
Yes!! Truer words have never been spoken about the blacks race’s way forward. This is not just American blacks. This is a world wide black problem. We’re not meeting up with other peoples.
The point of attacking the weave. Black women if they fall in love with their hair, they might fall back in love w their mate the black man. The hair shows the intellect in the crown.
I remember a time in the early 80's when R&B and soul music celebrated black love and beauty. In less than a decade, R&B was supplanted by gangster rap and hip hop. Not a coincidence that the breakdown of black relationships accelerated during this time.
Ur point is so true... I wouldn't even call it r and b anymore its just strictly rap.... Singing and rapping. But if u have some time do some digging. There are still pure r and b artist and music.... U just have to dig for it.... But ur right. Good ole r and b used to be on the radio. Now the only push back I have with u is that sometimss r and b had a "simp" mentality....but at least it was based on love for a woman lol
I was riding through Nevada years back and stopped in a town. Little girl started running to her house yelling Mommy Mommy I see black people 😆 I still laugh to this day
KS speaks so intelligently and collected most times. He may not have always been like this. But the modern day KS is a treasure. I can imagine how many AA male wish he is their real father. Intelligence is always sexy on a man.
You gotta dig deeper. They’re replacing Black Panther, the preeminent Black male comic character of all time with a woman. If that’s not black cucking I don’t know what is. Also Valkyrie the first prominent black woman in the MCU is apparently a Lesbian or bisexual lord of The virtually all-white Asgard. Nothing against Gay people but you can’t make this shit up. Falcon is alright I suppose but the fandom is trying to force a gay “bromance” with him and The Winter Soldier. There is also rumor that Captain Marvel’s black best friend is her lesbian love interest.
She’s laughing and giggling because she’s leaking 💦 speaking to Kevin. It’s pretty obvious when they act giddy, flustered and uncomfortable around someone like Kevin. Because she clearly fancies him. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@speakonit25 And women sound STUPID AF to men when a plain, average looking, overweight woman "demands" to be treated as IF she's "attractive & desired" by men 🥴🤦🙄😒: GTFOH!!! EXPEDITIOUSLY!!!
As a young black man, I thought the movie “The Color Purple” was one (if not the best) of the best movies ever made. But I didn’t watch the movie to come to the conclusion that all men are like “Mister”. To me, it was a movie and it wasn’t based off of a true story. When I watch the film, I loved all the actors and actresses in that movie. From a young Danny Glover, to Whoopi Goldberg, to Ray Dawn Chong, to Oprah, to the young lady who played Shug Avery and so forth. That movie had some the best actors of all time in one movie.
The Color Purple is more normal to us, Then The Photograph With Issa Rae And Lakeith Stanfield being a subtle quiet and patient film. We were being portrayed in a three dimensional way. That movie wasn't a huge hit film.
KS was/is So calculated, methodical, articulate and precise with everything and was on the verge of doing some serious damage in a positive way towards the negative portrayal of our people as a whole. May the Most High receive his spirit in Abraham's bosom... Some people are just born with it and he's one of them. He got the call and picked up the phone unlike most of us.
Black people are not clowns they are some of the most educated people on this planet those are the standards by which all are judged but few are chosen. they will lead the next generation into a new era without excuses only the young people of today must create that path and never waiver. So I applaud your journey and understand that if you take those who want to go and not those who need to go. Success comes at a price.
When Kay raised her hand ✋ I'm willing to bet the house that she wanted to ask kevin samuels, "what about black men"‽ , which is the typical black women response when they don't want to take accountability for what they do. She quietly dropped her hand as the godfather finished his point though.
Truth will set you free Wow lmao every race incites violence amongst itself. Wherever there are concentrations of people there will be conflict. Nice try though you are exactly what we try to avoid in females.
Agreed. Interestingly, that movie Avatar (the *blue people* who were the *Indigenous* inhabitants of a "new world") from awhile back was basically a fictional spin on the Aboriginal Americans.
Spike Lee is overrated anyway. Boys from the hood was a good movie. But his latest Chicago movie was garbaaaaaaage. Nick Cannon trying to about that life its cringe
@@deeznutz8320 u can have an opinion but overrated is extreme….School Daze , Do the Right Thing , Jungle Fever , Mo Betta Blues , Malcolm X are all Oscar worthy movies…u must under the age of 30
God bless this intelligent and articulate brother called Kevin Samuels. The man is a God-sent leader to the Black community. He is truly on a genuine mission to rebuild the Black community for good. He goes directly to the root causes of the multi-faceted problems plaguing the Black community and proffers viable solutions for Black people to be the best versions of themselves in order to revamp the entire group ethnic image. I repeat: Kevin Samuels is a God-sent leader.
Kay's body language is always suspect whenever Kevin gets on the show. She's always showing faces of disgust. Looking away or not paying attention whenever Kevin speaks. Courtney and Ashley are always attentive regardless of who is on the panel or is talking.
