I am thinking of joining a tradeskills union to become an operating engineer. I have tried about 5 different career fields: Social Work Teaching Graphic Design Healthcare/Medical Corporate America (admin) They all flopped and the work was unsatisfying. I later found out I am on the spectrum and that explains a whole lot! Come to find out I should have been in a STEM career all along. I took career aptitude tests and showed my strengths are in math/science and anything with spatial reasoning. Due to the covid shutdown the only jobs I could find was factory work and I realized I have a love for the trades. I am fascinated by heavy machinery and its earthmoving feats.
