A quick look at a key casting box that I put together for somebody. Together with the rest of the gear that has been put together for them, they will have all that they need to copy basic keys in the field. #lockpicking #locksport
After going forth and kicking arse what a nice well solid made mould .In my youth made moulds out of plaster of Paris. But back to the vid a very nice key mould beats the old hinged cigarette holder been used as in the old Movies.Thanks for sharing 👍👍👍
Good man! We are on this earth to kick some ass. :) Cool, I've done some work with silicone moulds and have used plaster of paris to add strength to them. At some point I'll mess with green sand casting. Later on, when all of the pieces are together, I'd like to play around with lost was casting. Aah, yes, the hinged deal works okay but I don't trust if for perfect registration. Cheers.
Nice and clean work. I would suggest you would like a bi axial surface grinder to compliment your mill and drill press. Would definately give that mirror finish to the end product. Cheers:-)
Sounds neat but probably too rich for my blood. Mind you, I may end up investing in a rotary table at some point. Besides, getting a mirror finish is easy enough if I really want it.

Very interesting process. Pity it's going to someone, i would have liked to see how a key was cast, I've got no idea how you would do that in the field. Do you know if the person is going to do any videos on this, cheers
The Germans had a ket casting kit. Not sure now who it was by but probably Multipick. Can't recall who reviewed it but it was either Lock Noob or Bosnian Bill.
Hehe, yeah, I want one like this myself now. :) The key casting thing has been done several times here on YT but maybe I can show my personal kit and do a quick demo. No videos from the other person, no. The mystery recipient prefers to remain very private.

I don’t have access to any tools nor the budget to buy a 100 dollar casting kit the only difficult part is gonna be where do I get just the casting box from with out paying through the ass things such as field metal and clay are easy to obtain ? Anyone got any suggestions
