Key mentioned he’s been planning the concept for Bad Love since debut, so 14 years, it wouldn’t be off brand for the line where he says killer is a hint to his newest song. Bad Love, Gasoline, and Killer are a trilogy of sorts. I saw translations where he mentioned that Killer was the end of the saga and one of the teasers for Killer had scenes from Bad Love and Gasoline. When you said that Gasoline reminded you of INVU, you were absolutely correct! Sones (SNSD fans) and Shawols made a few posts about them being like moon and sun siblings or gods/goddesses -- specifically they both could totally be like the Greek twins, Artemis and Apollo. Taeyeon's INVU _is_ a direct reference to Artemis whereas Key's is more about him, but the gold outfit just makes you think of Apollo and he's the god of music soooo it checks out! KEY is a lead dancer and lead rapper in SHINee so yeah.. he does it all. And his stage presence is amazing. Plus he can also act (he has done kdramas, movies and musicals!!) and host. Also he's a fashion director at SM at some point I don't remember exactly the period. He almost always has a say (along with stylists) on SHINee's and his solo outfits for MVs, stage performances, and concerts. He's also involved in the design for his solo album packaging sets. He also writes lyrics for songs btw!! I don't know how to end this because there are so many things this man can do 😅

I’m sure someone else knows better than I do, but Key typically styles himself, designing most of his own outfits. I’m not sure if that’s entirely the case here or what but he plays a huge role in that aspect of his career. It’s incredible.

Newest Key songs give my Old SHAWOL/Locket-and-fan-of-80s-music soul exactly what it wants. I love our sassy English-speaking King Key. Key is a fashion director/creative director in SM Entertainment. He even pieced together and designed a few big stages for Shinee for all members. If you want to take time to look at some of his looks he's come up with for himself and his bandmates either just on your own or if you want to have something for Shinee content there are videos of compilations and such! (My favourite of his was SHINee World IV and Tokyo Dome from 2015. He designed iconic white marching-band-esque suits and each suit was unique to each member.)

Didn’t see a lot of replies regarding this but Key designs his outfits and SHINee’s as well! He literally has a masters to qualify for it. He also designed the packaging for his 3 latest comebacks and it’s so good it caused fanwars bc people thought SM was biased towards Key and putting more effort in his album designs when it’s all Key’s brains and hard work 😌 but of course he didn’t do it alone, it’s also thanks to the stylists and designers who work well to execute his visions too! (Making sure everyone gets their credit where credit is due)

i love love love his use of backup dancers in gasoline bc it truly brings out the theming of the song. it's like a celebration the whole way through nd the dancers truly make it better. not that key wouldn't be good doing it w/o them but without them itd have a much diff feel

I'm so glad you did this marathon! Gasoline was easily in my top 5 albums last year (but definitely no. 1 for packaging - I bought the VCR version and it's one of the coolest albums I own). Even if you just do it on your own you should definitely listen to that album or the repackage with Killer

I love your reactions in general and you reacting to key music makes me super happy and I’m glad that you enjoyed the songs He loves 80’s music and movies. he said they are big influence on him, he is the creative director of his own solo stuff ( all shinee members are creative directors for their own solos), he wasn’t the sole creative director for his debut but he goes all out after that, there are videos he filmed working on his albums and the process of making the albums they are really great Another thing yeah you got a lot things correctly, bad love & killer are connected, he explained that both songs and gasoline music videos are like part of a big storyline as a game of levels and each mv represents a level of the game, but as for the songs themselves bad love and killer are same storyline lyrics wise

My sassy, stylish, savage SHINee bias!!! He's such a talented king, and his music is VERY much my style. He is actually the first bias of mine where he stole my heart 100% because of his personality. Minho was all set to be my bias, because I knew him from his acting career before I knew SHINee (Onew too), but then I started watching SHINee compilations and that was it. The versatility and power his voice has...so impressive. Plus he is just a gorgeous and adorable, bitchy little bean! I have a thing for the bratty ones, it seems.
