I was at that show with my railway art stand! I was working on a portrait of Russell from the Welsh Highland Railway, which is now finished! It was an excellent show, would definitely recommend.

Very nice. Tempted to take my gf to the SBR next year. A few things with the HM7000. Those HSTs should have VP185 sounds, not Valentas, which aren't currently available. I'm assuming that 9F has the generic steam sounds, because the sync of chuff and wheels is frankly horrendous. And, these chips are oversized compared to the NMRA standards, so fit in very few locos. I'm yet to try one, but will be getting a 21 pin one to go in my 7mm dapol 08.

Sadly the steam chuff synchronisation with the HM7000 is far too slow.

The diesel sounds do work well though. We have completed a number of diesel models with the new TXS sound chips which will feature in Hornby Magazine and online in coming issues.
