The “first name messiah” bit is more interesting because he became known as Mahatma Gandhi, where Mahatma means chosen one or Messiah, but he wasn’t born with that name, and was originally Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Mahatma was later in life, if I recall. There’s a few early ones, the most amusing in cadence terms was Columbus vs Kirk. I do however also like the Trump one where NicePeter plays Trump instead (so not an election one)

"H in your name" line isn't actually right... The actual pronunciation of Gandhi is "Gaan-Dhee" with conjunct H, while most English speakers cannot enunciate this H and say "Gán-Dee" instead.

it even goes deeper than that. In the USA the Bell System was a group of companies, that dominated the phone services until an antitrust case separated them. The companies that came out of it were called the Baby Bells and some, like AT&T, still exists to this day.

Oh, I can add something! The "I'm not thinking you shall overcome this Junior" is especially clever since (I'm fairly certain) one of the main songs/themes of the civil rights movement was, "We Shall Overcome" Since, after all, many of the protests down South were met with brutality from the racist government. I'm fairly certain that's why those specific words are chosen. (ERB is great like that, any unusual choice of words is usually a hidden reference.)

Epic Rap Battles started like 10 years ago or more by a comedian named Nice Peter...dude did these himarious picture songs too. He and a buddy "Epic Lloyd" write the bars and act in mlst of them. There have been like 500 of these over the years lol...always been quailty bars and video.

Heyyy actually Gandhi never took showers, because showers didn't exist back then haha. People living in villages went to the well, drew water and took it home to have bath, which is probably what Gandhi did. Btw, having bath every day is a very important part of INDIAN culture. Also, we do pronounce the 'H' in Gandhi's name haha
