This issue is almost always a problem with the keyboard itself so it is little surprise that advice focusing on software tweaks seldom work. Something is under the key such as food or finger goop, causing permanent contact. The first thing to do is try another keyboard and if the problem persists, then it is possible that it is a software or driver issue but in the vast majority of cases the problem will be solved. If you do not have another keyboard handy, try cleaning under the affected key with a burst of air or if you are able, remove the key, clean and re-install it. This comment was typed with a once affected keyboard.
same thing happened with me, my laptop keyboard started typing randomly then typed continuously aaaaaaaaaaaaaa and then stopped and next morning started working again. But after few weeks now, this happened again, but this it is not fixing itself, any help you can provide mate?
My problem is letter S typing repeatedly... i tried all combos like shift, fn + f1, fn + numlock, what i tried is pressing the problematic letter/key repeatedly lik someone who commented here and it worked..hope it will not repeat again...
My laptop starting pressing keys around wasd, I guess because I game a lot. I used a external keyboard and it fixed the problem and I tried what someone mention with device manager, I had two HID keyboard devices. I uninstalled one but my keyboard reinstalled in with a restart. So idk what is actually going on. I think ima try to uninstall the drivers and restart again. Anyone have any ideas? It’s not crumbs or stuff under the key, I already took it off and used a bit of compressed air on it. :(
Download software Keyboard test and keytweak, with the help of keyboard test check whether ur keyboard is having hardware error it will show red for badkey and green for working good keys. Now close the software and open keytweak software Disable that key which u found is not working and remap it to Insert key but do check correct key number in keytweak. Do all the above mentioned action with a new USB keboard, then take a Home Vaccum Cleaner and attach corner attachment on the head and give a vaccum to ur key it will suck the bad key position including dust particles, i have tried it on my laptop and it worked. If that also not work for you then try to open that delicate sensitive key with the help of eyebrow plucker make sure you wont break its cap and cover do it on your own risk with precesion insert an injection filled up with cleaning agent and inject it on the bad key after that wait and rub it with a tooth brush very gently and spunge the remaining fluid with the help of a cottoon or cloth. Then try recheck if that solved your problem. If that also doesnot solve ur issue throw your keyboard outside the window and buy a new internal keyboard this will definetly fix your issue.
hahahha i had this i was so angry i punched the damn keyboard not caring if i break the laptop and you no what it stopped ahhaha but now i am getting ---------------------------------
Mine is doing this I used a keyboard that works for sure I even tried it on my other pc I think something intentionally is doing this. Recently windows has been telling me to change my product key, maybe that has something to do with it. For now my $1200 pc is unusable.
I had the same issue and when I removed wireless keyboard and mouse connector, shut down and restarted computer, it was fine. I tried plugging connector back to use wireless keyboard and mouse and it started doing it again. Removed connector again and restarted computer and it went away. Needless to say I am not using wireless on it until I #1get brand new batteries for both keyboard and mouse to see if that is a factor #2 or revert to wired keyboard and mouse.
@@faraamin6557 I, too, had a short in the keyboard and the repeating thing reoccured after hitting fn + numlock . A friend who is a tech helped me -- I had to get a usb keyboard to work off and then he went to device manager to uninstall the keyboard and he reinstalled a keyboard for another system. If you uninstall the keyboard only (after plugging in the usb keyboard ), when you reinstart the problem can reoccurr. By installing a keyboard for a different computer system, it prevent my ASUS from reinstalling the system keyboard automatically each time I logged. Or, get a new computer lol if you can. Good luck
Qabas Marwan the same thing is happening to me and I'vet ride 3 keyboards with my PC and a t always types --------------- and it's really annoying... Do you know a fix?
Ghost Same here except when i uninstall the HID keyboard device, my mouse binds stop working and a new one pops up anyway a few minutes later.. any idea why?
@@LoveLife-eo4xk the battery in my laptop is built in so I can't remove it. I did try to drain the battery though but it only stopped typing for only a few minutes
@@rprstar I used some software that I don't remember the name of to identify that key and shut it down. Keep looking into other videos you will find a tutorial of that.
