Tip: Don't underestimate the power of a clean plate. Use a still image of the empty bluescreen instead of the clean plate node. Composing a new plate for every frame with blur, is very taxing on your system and won't give the best results. Once again, great video with much needed info!
Yo, Andrey! There's some really high pitched noise in this video that makes it unwatchable for someone in headphones and good hearing. It's possible that you just didn't hear it on speakers, but hearing degradation can also be a cause. Some other RU-vidr - Tom Scott some time ago also released video with audio like this and by the response from the audience he got to knew that his hearing was degrading a little bit faster than usual. So yeah, just giving some heads up! Next time please remember about low and high pass filters on voice track, they won't cut anything out from your beautiful voice and you don't have to configure them at all, so pretty much just one or two more clicks before rendering the video. Other things to keep in mind: 21:9 - It's great for work, and pretty much the worst for the tutorials. Especially in that beasty 3840x1600 LG panel you have there. 21:9 already makes a lot of things smaller, and that 4k resolution is making shit tiny. Reading what option is chosen and things like that are almost impossible to read on something like 16:9 1080p 24" screen. If you don't want to fuck up your workspace, maybe try just bumping up the scaling in display properties, so you still will maintain your layout and just get bigger UI (i'm not sure if Fusion and Adobe apps support that though, worth checking out) Other than that tutorial is great, your knowledge and way you explain things is making up for every imperfection. Keep doing that, if you have time and energy, because you're damn good in that "explain stuff" business ;D And I will keep fingers crossed for your hearing man!
Response to all comments that sound is not so bad and I'm doing a big deal from nothing: It heavily depends on your hardware and hearing. Every human have different hearing response, especially with sounds that are on the end of hearing spectrum and most of the people do not even hear very top of the spectrum. It's normal and changes with age or even day to day. For example my girlfriend barely can hear any of that noise. Additionally most of the audio equipment aimed at standard customer does not transfer well (or at all) highest and lowest frequencies. Sound is like colors, everyone sees everything different and it heavily depends on your hardware, so just stop guessing and throw this video into any audio spectrum analyzer.
@@K2Core I mean I like to think that bose headphones have good range. I could go throw this into vegas right now and pitch shift it down so theres no doubt I'd be able to hear the high pitch. Either way I completely get your point, and yes I could hear it as well but I personally didn't find it distracting, but there was nothing wrong pointing it out. Anyway have a good day
i'm an VFX student and my teacher is fucking my semester teaching me 3d dynamics and everyone in my class hates it !!! we are making rain for last 3 months and i hate it now!!!! our whole class watch your channel for good and industry level content to learn !!! Andrey thanks for saving our lives !!!
Fusion can do much, much better =) Andrey has shown a basic way, but there are more, especially when you have a really bad BG, or need to save more details.
@@Vassay yes, 4 years later and I'm never going back to After Effects. The last few years I've been getting the hollywood-level keys I've always wanted out of Fusion. Awesome!
Thanks you! I spent hours with the 3d keyer on the edit page and thought there must be a better way. Five minutes learning fusion and untrakey in this video, the results are amazing!
Hi Andrey I've been following your channel since the beginning and truly enjoy your professionalism.I will just add that you ALWAYS MUST denoise your shot ,with Neat video plugin(because it is by far the better), before you do any keying. Also, for hair and fur and other tiny details, if you work in AE you should try the refine brush tool, it can do wonder but can be time consuming depending on the shot. After that just reapply the noise by duplicating your footage twice, put them in a comp, first layer must have is noise second must be denoised, put the top layer to substract mode then put this hole comp on top of all your denoised elements in Add mode and voilà... you will have your exact same noise. Be aware that you must work in 32 bit for it to work. Also if you erase or add elements in your shot that have differente color, the noise may not match that well.
Excellent. I've seen many tutorials that say, "there are many ways to key in fusion, but I use Delta Keyer"... I'm not sure that they really have tried the other ones. The Ultra Keyer in fusion with the matte control produced some of the best results I've seen and opened options I couldn't find in the Delta Keyer.
Thank you for the training! When remembering how I learninig "keyng" myself in a short video, I used photoshop... frame-by-frame to cut out color... it was a hell... but the work was finished. Thanks to you. Today I know more. Sorry for bad english. I slowly learning him too )
Yooo I was binge watching your videos last night looking for tutorials on integrating actors with 3D sets or 3D extensions and now you’re back with this 😁😁
wow, DeltaKeyer appears to be a cool tool. That's very smart to use the difference between the known background plate and everything else which differs from it. Now I wonder whether After Effects has anything similar...
I was checking for Ae Alternative and here comes your video about keying in fusion. Is free version enough for comping and keying I mean fusion. Thanks
Very Great instructional video as always💯..Btw I literally went through all the comments to see if there was an answer on that real-time shadow casting you did but there was none, please I will appreciate if you can throw more light on that...Thanks and keep up the good work👍
Hey Andrey! Could you do some deep tutorial for Keying in Fusion? Not just a video with process like this one but a deep tutorial of every feature what does what and which one and when to use. Also with explanation how to do a clean platte etc... Please!))
I realy want to watch a video with 3d content as the one you did of the realistic road shader. I'd love to see some concept development or something explaning your workflow. Think about it please.
Hey, Andrey, love your videos, I just wanted to point out that the fireflies in the background seems a little off, i don't really know what is exactly going on but from an audience's perspective it seems a little , unlike before which seemed very believable in your old spot you were in. Also another thing about the fireflies in relation to the video cut. In order to make it more believable, I would suggest that you cut the firefly shot with the footage so it also has a cut to it, Because when a cut happens the fireflies doesn't seem to "loose time" with it. Anyway I hope you get what I'm saying.
i love Your videos! could you make a detailed video of your computer that looks at the background of the video? something similar to what you did of your 2990wx and 6850k workstations that you explain a little why and how each component helps your workflow. thanks
I think you forgot to blurr the fireflies jar a little bit, it doesn't seem realistic because all the background is blurry except for that jar. It doesn't fit your depth of field.
in my opinion: the solution for motion blur is up the shutter speed, but compens with other parameters for a nice exposure what do you think about this ? i'm from guatemala, thanks for all
