@@hisnameisiam808 Hey Neighbor we’re in Washington right across from Portland and we’re fleeing the liberal state of Washington. L O L Plus or Navy sons in Pensacola so I have got to get me my grandbabies!
@@cathysnook5769 Yes! That sounds awesome for you! We are kinda still fighting here in Oregon. Not really the time to get out yet for us. We have many students(we teach martial arts) who don't like the problems here either but they come to our school for help and relief. We will continue until our calling is elsewhere. God has us here for now.
@@cathysnook5769 we also have family in Florida on my wife's side but not the same as grandbabies. We also have family here so we are torn between a rock and a hard place.
Keep my information in your contacts and let me know when ever you come this way. Tom Kerr (904) 699-6169 tomkerr-realtor@outlook.com Thanks for watching.
What caught my eye of keystone height is the elevation. It probably is the highest point of florida peninsula. We had a very bad storm surge from hurrican Ian in SW florida. It will be ocean front in 200 years!😂
The highest point in Florida is in the panhandle. Keystone Heights is one of the highest places in the state. I think that is why our lightning is so bad during t-storms.
We are trusting the Lord that we will be moving to Keystone the next month or two. We are a navy family. My husband and I we met Navy to camp in Orlando back in 1989 we have two sons in the Navy now.
That's great. When you get closer to making the move feel free to reach out to me for any help in finding a home. A lot of Navy in our area with Mayport and NAS Jax near.
@@NorthFloridaLiving OK very important concern here my friend in Canada sent me something as I mentioned to her Florida gets sinkholes she found one as you probably know happened in 2019 on Princeton in Keystone Heights should I be concerned??? The home we are thinking about purchasing is 6 miles from town and country Road
@@cathysnook5769 Sinkholes can occur anywhere in Florida. This is an excerpt from an article in The Atlantic: The bulk of Florida’s peninsula is made up carbonate rock (limestone and dolostone) overlain by variable thicknesses and mixtures of sand and clay (i.e., overburden). Carbonate rocks store and transmit groundwater. Through a slow chemical process these carbonate rocks may dissolve, resulting in karst terrain (topography). Karst terrains are characterized by sinkholes, caves (wet and dry), springs, disappearing/reappearing streams, and other land surface depressions all of which are commonly found throughout Florida. There are maps online that will show areas of Florida that are more prone to sinkholes.
I always order fried. I don't remember if broiled was an option. I know they have cod and flounder. Here is the link to their site and you could call the Keystone Heights location. www.cedarriverseafood.com/
We're in Jacksonville and are looking to move to Keystone or Melrose. We love it out there and visit quite often. Keystone Inn for breakfast, Keystone Beach after breakfast, ice cream in the downtown area and Fryers in Melrose before we head home. Makes for a perfect day with the family.
It does sound like the perfect day. The next time you come into Keystone Heights let me know and we can meet. My office is downtown Keystone Heights at 275 S. Lawrence Blvd. My phone and email is 904-699-6169 tomkerr-realtor@outlook.com Thanks for watching the video.
i am glad i stumbled upon this i recently purchase land their and would like to put a modular home or cabin home on the property any info on if there are modular construction places to check out for prices would be nice on even construction on building a house would be helpful
School information would be greatly appreciated! We have school age children, and I think sometimes in our home state of Florida, there is a tendency to focus on the northerners and retirees.
I am looking at placing school info in future videos. I have to be sure to do it in the correct way. As a Realtor we are very regulated as to what we can say in regards to schools and neighborhoods so as not to violate any rules. In the past there may have been as you mention a tendency to focus on retirees and northerners but I now get a lot of phone calls from all over the country and South Florida.
I am retired and was thinking of moving to Florida. Many I know have left Connecticut and moved to St. Lucie(I think that's how it is spelled). Is there any motels, hotels near by Keystone Heights?
They are in Starke or Waldo. About 15 minutes from Keystone Heights. When you come to visit let me know. Looking to buy some land in Florida and build a house in a little over a year. Looks like a nice town in a good location. How is the land prices there, I'd like at least an acre? Are there builders in town?
For single acre lots you are looking at $18,000-$25,000. It depends on where the lot is. Some lots less than an acre can run this also. There are a lot of dirt roads and some dirt roads are county maintained so that would increase value over a private road. If it's off a paved road then that can increase value. Lake lots will be more. There are builders in the area.
You didn’t talk about all the Tweakers in the area or how we only get two police officers in the whole town. As the cops say people move to keystone heights to hide. The schools suck not many extra curricular activities the kids are board so they get in trouble. I’m from lake asbury. Soo let’s be honest here 😅
There is an Immediate Care Center-walk in and a primary care facility. 2 Clay County fire rescue stations. Hospitals are in Starke, Middleburg or Gainesville.
@justynjonn Don't be like that brother. Small towns unfortunately have a reputation. I'm looking to move my family to a simpler lifestyle, away from the big city b.s. so I'm lm researching. I'm sure you would too. Thank you for your reply btw
Hi Joe. The Keystone Heights area is very rural and a small town. You won't have the hustle and bustle of nightlife as you do in larger populated cities. As a Realtor I am not allowed to give crime stats but there are many sites online that provide information and maps of stats for any area by state, county or city. The Clay County sheriffs office also would be a source of this information.
Well.....I just heard from the local barber that Publix has bought land near the rv park and two subdivisions are going in....so much for small town life. There's already meth heads and hooked walking the streets of orange park...will be here next
