My son lived in Kfar Aza 7th Oct 23. Luckily for him, his partner and dog they were not home. But her family were. They were hold up for 21 hours in their shelter with terrorists using their home as a base since it was in a strategic point. 3 times they tried opening the door to the shelter but gave up, more interested in the task of going out to kill and coming back to re-arm. They were rescued under fire in the middle of the night. My son was allowed to go in only 9 days after to rescue his cat. He sat there for 3 days till she got the courage to come to him. They will not return to kfar Aza. Though the inlaws may do or relocate to build another kibbutz in the negev. I was supposed to go visit that day for the succot tradition of flying kites for peace to the children of Gaza. Those kites were always handmade by the kibbutz children and flown every succot morning. The lady who volunteered to taxi sick children from Gaza was killed on that day
