I made my own egg rolls the other day and use Napa cabbage. I'm now looking for more videos on how to prepare it on its own. I will try your recipe. Thank you.
I ordered this from Whole Foods, but the picture differed. The picture was what I’d had prior. This…was a mystery. So thanks for sharing your recipe. Maybe I’ll try and enjoy it.
The issue with the flat pan is that the garlic will always be on the bottom of the pan and it will burn turn brown and become bitter. I think maybe instead use the garlic chopped peppers and ginger to infuse the oil and then remove them before adding the rest of the ingredients and return them to the pan just before you finish. Keep this up Kate. You have great personality and you only have up to go
that's true about the garlic, but I never thought of it, sometimes I add them at the end, but the flavor can be so different. i will try a new way to make them again, thank you :)
I think you put soy sauce in at 8:16 or so I think you put soy sauce in the dish but you didn't mention it. I think you should have put the soy sauce in the starch slurry!!
Thanks for the informative video! This is my first time cooking Chinese cabbage and it turned out delicious! I added some thinly sliced carrots to mine. ♥
Donna McKay nice! So happy you tried it out! I love carrots and I used it in lots of dishes, they are good for taste and look :) You can also try stir fry carrots and eggs, cook them separately and combine them together at the end ;)
I noticed that the way you are stirring your vegetables, you only cook one side of your vegetables. You need to completely flip your vegetables over so that both sides of your vegetables get cooked, not just one side. It takes two or three extra seconds per spoonful, but you need to completely flip over your vegetables with each spoonful, not just stir them side-to-side left to right, the way you are doing it in the video.
That was so quick and easy. Very good recipe and I do not like vinegar. However, the vinegar enhances the flavor. I used one tablespoon of vinegar and it was perfect!!
Hi Gen, usually I would keep stir fry dishes in the fridge up to 3 days. I never had problem to eat leftovers, guess I got a strong stomach lol! But I suggest eat it with 2 days :) Thanks for watching :)
Yes, u can :) there is a simple way u can try it out, after wash the cabbage, places them in a boiling water pan(put some salt in the water) for couple minutes, and drain the water out. place the cabbages in a plate and add some soy sauce, chopped garlic, and any other spice u like;) lastly, place the plate in a steam pan. good luck and thanks for watching !
+kate's food brain Thanks Kate I just made a simple vegan dish using the napa cabbage. I used potatoes, onions, garlic, mushrooms, yellow peppers sea salt and pepper and it was delicious!! I was inspired by your video to try something new:)) Thanks for the speedy reply!! Julie
Hi Julie, I'm so glad you tried something new, good job! I always just cook with whatever I have in my refrigerator, for both Chinese and western food, and usually it turns out good haha!
Can I use Apple cider vinegar? I thought white vinegar is not good for human consumption? Instead of soy sauce, can coconut amino work? Good video though 👍
