KFC BEYOND FRIED CHICKEN HONEST REVIEW | MUKBANG 

I tried it. I actually thought the texture was spot on. I don't really care for mushy chicken so I prefer the dense texture. The taste was ok but I agree its good for if out and no other options, definitely wouldn't go out of my way to try again. I love the fast food with the plant based options for ones wanting to transition. I don't eat at KFC so I have no reason to go back, but my non vegan family was excited to try. And Lhonna is too young to be thinking about dieting, just make healthier choices and stay active!

I tried this today. I think that it is so hard because the people who cook it leave it in the oil too long. Most people who do not eat meat replacements don't know that you can't cook meat replacements as long as real meat. Otherwise, it will be hard as a rock. The KFC that I went to got the seasoning down packed though...The texture was fine with me.

I purposely went to a KFC in a wealthy neighborhood bc i knew they’d cook it right. Sure enough, they were perfection. I LOVED it. 10/10 for me!

They do have a firm texture, but they were delicious to me😋 I really liked the batter and the flavor.

I felt the same way about the texture. I used honey mustard and it helped. You’re right about getting them as a pick up snack. Nothing I’ll rush to get again.

I tried these last night. I’m happy to hear that I’m not alone in disliking the texture of these. I tried one as we were pulling out of the drive through (while they were still ‘hot & fresh’). I don’t know the feel of firm/extra firm tofu, but I did feel like there were random flat pieces of wet, pressed cardboard in each nugget. I mean, I know that’s not the case, but that’s the closest thing I can compare it to. It was a bit of effort to chew those pieces down properly. I don’t think they brought the signature KFC 11 herbs and spices to the table either. My husband and daughter each tried one (neither are vegan- - I’m the only vegan in our family) and was surprised to hear them say it was pretty good! I’m going to have to ask them again- I’m not convinced 🤔😁 For a while now, it seems all the vegan meats I’ve tried tend to upset my stomach. These KFC Beyond Nuggets were no exception. However, wait- are these nuggets fried in the same oil as their chicken? Same goes with their fries- those too? I’ve gotten to the point where it seems the only vegan ‘meats’ my stomach can handle are the ones I make at home and consist of the go-to ingredients like chickpeas, mushrooms, cauliflower, beans and such. I have two Impossible frozen Pattie’s and three Impossible frozen sausages in my freezer that just turn my stomach every time I see them. I love their flavor, but, they make me nauseous within 10 or so minutes of finishing them. I’ve decided to give up fast food fries as well. I’ve heard they fry their fries in the same oil as their meat products. Since going vegan/plant based late 2017, it seems my body has grown intolerant to a few things. Aside from Chipotle, my stomach gets upset after eating almost anything not made at home. Even if the food is from a vegan/plant based restaurant. So to be fair to KFC, I knew I shouldn’t have tried the Beyond Nuggets to begin with, but I did. Marie, you mentioned that they are a limited item. Hopefully this is their testing release, and hopefully they’ll tweak the texture and flavor. Thank y’all so much for the honest review. I knew I wasn’t going to be alone on the texture part of it. I do agree that if you need a quick bite and want to hit a drive through, this will suffice. I’ve learned to just grab some fruit, veggies, hummus, sandwich before leaving the house. But again, this is only because most foods out in town disagree with my stomach. I’ll stick to preparing yalls, vegan dishes and others I’ve come across. I know you said Impossible upsets your stomach, but I really enjoyed their nuggets better than Beyond. You are right Beyond was dense. Impossible has that softness. Hopefully you can try it

Their advertised picture looks golden and crispy, in real life, they honestly looked like the incogmeato Frozen nuggets, which would be good if it's frozen food, but not as a streamline product for 7 dollars in my opinion 🤷🏾‍♂️

I love that they’re being more inclusive. Personally, I want them to just sell everything in stores because I know the cross contamination is too real for me to trust these fast food places. I definitely still get some every blue moon when I’m just out and it’s quick though so I like that the options are there, but this wouldn’t be a regular thing for me. I tried them back when they had the test run earlier last year. I thought they were delicious 😋 it was the texture of chicken and had the great flavor of KFC’s 11 herbs and spices. I was mad when they went away. If I would have known I would like them that much I would have bought more that day. When I went back the next week they were gone. I’m so glad they’re back. I hope they stay longer. 😁

Happy New year. Love you guys channel, (New subscriber). I tried the beyond chicken yesterday, and I'm not sure if they are worth the price. In Phoenix, Az. the 6 pc combo is 9.99 + tax and the 12 pc combo is 16.99..... 7.99 & 14.99 for just the chicken.. My first taste was outstanding, but I was full from eating (4) from my combo so I saved the other (2) for today. Unfortunately I had a bad experience with warming them up in my air fryer. I couldn't bite through them and the taste was not to my satisfaction. On another note, I'm glad to have found your channel, It is very refreshing to see a family participate in the wonders of heathy eating and living.. looking forward to your future content.. I tried these the other day and I thought they were dense as well but not bad. Couldn’t fool a meat eater but not bad. I’d get it again on the go but wouldn’t go out of my way to get. I do like the jack and Annie’s brand that is sold in stores

I noticed the advertisement said the chicken was not made from vegetarian products. It still looks like chicken to me. I think they just said it was vegan to sell the meat because sells have gone down since two years ago. There's alot of competition right now.

I ordered it yesterday and they were hard and chewy like jerky. I thought they might be old so I went to a different one today TOTALLY DIFFERENT. Just like chicken, hot and crispy. Try another location or different time.

Please read the fine print the Vegan Chicken is cooked in the same grease as the regular chicken. The company mentions that. Just a FYI

yall my family forealz lol....went yesterday and tried the nugs and yea it was ok...nothing to hype up, at least there's an option if you're on the go. I, too, agree that the vegan "seafood" need to step it up BUT if you guys are ever in the Huntington beach area, try out Vegan Nirvana, hands down best vegan shrimp I've had!

I tried it. I thought it needed more seasonings. It didn't give me a wow feeling. If you get a chance try the impossible nuggets at Fatburger and the burger, sweet potatoes fries, and vegan milkshake. THEY know how to season their food. A bit pricy though.

I tried the beyond tenders before and the dense, stiff texture definitely threw me off and it tasted dry 😭😭 caught me off, I'll give it another try with the nuggets 🤞🏿

New Year's blessings to all of the fam! The KFC here in the UK only has a chicken fillet burger (made with Quorn). McDonald's just launched the McPlant but to be honest Burger King are smashing the vegan options here... they just launched their nuggets and I hear they are next level. They also have the vegan royale and plant based whopper. Us vegans are coming in hot this year! #LoveToSeeIt

Yes I tried the Beyond Fried Chicken. The very first time I had it, it was delicious 🤤. This second time I ate it cold and definitely won’t do that again 😂. In my opinion, Beyond Meat should’ve thrown in a vegan sauce option to go with them….That Chipotle bowl looks soooo good. Already on my list after this winter storm is over where I live.
