The gimmick of gimmicks is the McDonald's celebrity meal that charges $5 more for a regular meal

I don't get why KFC always does crazy stuff like this instead of just releasing an affordable regular 8 piece wing meal

So, this is really chicken parmesan with pepperoni.

I don't know why I still watch these videos periodically. They are captivating in a very strange way... I must be bewitched by the witty snark, classy suit and spider fingers.

The test kitchens were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.

3:58 hey there, as someone who works at KFC currently, I wanted to mention a few things I noticed here from the close up befoe you even ate it. The fillets are supposed to be crisped up in the fryer for 15 seconds to accelerate the melting of the cheese when you close the box.. From the lack of grease on the paper it feels as if that part was skipped. Additionally 3 pepperoni are meant to be evenly distributed across each fillet from the appearance of it , unless it got shaken on the way back from the store the workers likely did not do a proper job there either. And finally I noticed that the pepperoni itself was sliced meaning they sliced the chizza at the very end before closing the box which is supposed to be done before you even put the marinara sauce on. Edit: 8:20 considering you described the fillet as 'juicy' would make me think maybe its just been a while and they actually did throw it in the fryer but the misordering of steps in the preparation process has me confused. 10:50 how the mozarella cheese works is it goes box > crisp up fillet > sauce > mozarella > pepperoni > immediately close box. The heat from throwing the fillet down in the fryer is actually what melts the mozarella, so its not necessarily fully cooked when the hand it out to you as much as it is cooking within the box for your enjoyment of it later. Thats probably what separates it from other fast food places it focuses on both the speed and the efficiency for the customer. 11:40 I thought it was overpriced at first too [I work there and also am a customer] the filet is initially an item for the sandwich ,which is priced higher than the 5.99 for the half chizza iirc If you compare the prices between the sandwich and the chizza for a special that uses items that are not used in anything else and takes more time and effort to carry out than standard items , I do believe the Chizza is an okay deal for what it is.

Quality of food is what really brings in the clientele. Way too many companies compromise the quality of their food, and screw themselves over for a quick buck!

They were giving out samples over the wknd in nyc. To me, its pretty good. Only gripe i had about it was it could used a tad bit more sauce & the cheese couldve been melted more but other than that, it hit the spot. I had about 3 of them & i was pretty full.

I wish that they actually market it as a chicken Parmesan sandwich. One of our favorite sandwiches at home is a crusty Italian roll with a fried chicken cutlet, marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese on it. Put it under the broiler for a few minutes and it’s fantastic. I’m pretty sure that a sandwich like that would be well received.

here in Australia. we also have a constant yearly chicken sandwich (we call then burgers) with corn chips and sometimes we will get these things called hotrods which are shish kebabs with a hot and spicy coating. We also have the chicken fillets but with the hot and spicy coating that you can get in burgers or seperatly

I have not been in a KFC in years because the quality just went down horribly, but a year or two ago I went to give it a try and got the chicken tenders, number one they were very expensive and some of the tenders were a weird rubbery texture, almost like they were fake.

It's basically a chicken parmesan without the noodles, and added pepperoni.

I bet straight out of the fryer it tastes pretty great, but after any amount of time with that sauce on it, it's just gonna turn the breading to mush.

I’ve been watching The Report of the Week for years. Curiously, RU-vid never recommends other food review channels to me. They know I only watch because I like Review Brah and don’t really care about the food 😂

The double down absolutely slapped and was something new. It had it's own unique taste. This Chizza is (checks notes)… Chicken Parm with a probable side of the runs. Well done, Colonel, I guess.

If they really wanted to do a chicken pizza, they make it like a cauliflower crust and make it a bigger piece of flattened out chicken

If I'm not ordering a bucket of chicken I'll usually opt for the chicken nuggets which are basicaly popcorn chicken but higher quality than the actual popcorn they use to sell (not sure they still do). Next time I go however I'm going to have to get one of these chicken pizzas.

Dang $12 bucks used to get you 2 value meals. The strips should be no more than $4, throw on $1 worth of sauce and cheese and now your at $12 😂😂

Depending on the carb count, this could be a very good meal for people on a low carb or keto diet, and if you are on either diet there are not many options available commercially. I am on a keto diet, and intend to try this the next time I dine out. Thank you for the excellent and informative review!

Haven't tried it yet but I love the idea. I hate that most pizzas are too bready (i only like thin crust pizzas). So having chicken/protein as the crust is great. It's only 9.99 for the Chizza (2 piece) without the combo. It is a bit gimmicky but it's only a limited time item.

The RU-vid has seen fit to exile you from my algorithm ( weird) anyway im glad to see you again. Your still out there grinding away. OUTSTANDING!!!!😎

Is it a gimmick? Perhaps. Is it bold. Sure. Is it ridiculous? Absolutely! But is it any good? HECK YEAH it is!!! I say it's a stroke of genius. I'll be back for more! And I think they should include this on their permanent menu. This paired up with their fries and their ultra tasty blackberry lemonade is a perfect combo!

Chicken parm with pepperoni on it...yeah. I've made this before with chicken tenders, a can of marinara sauce, and cheese in my air fryer. All I'd have to add is pepperoni and I'd save so much money.
