Mythical Beasts- Let's talk about "Let's Talk About That." When we decided to change our teasers at the top of Season 18, we were trying to experiment with ways to broaden our audience and bring new people into the show. We thought by teasing a fun moment to come, some viewers would be more likely to watch our videos. After testing our theory for a significant period of time, we've concluded that the new teasers didn't have our intended effect, and we've decided to revert back to the classic "Let's Talk About That" opens. We appreciate the supportive community we've built that allows us to experiment with new things. Thanks for sticking with us! -Rhett, Link, and the Mythical Crew
I love how every few episodes Rhett just brings up how happy he is to be eating good with his best friend and it just shows how much of a nice guy he is
I think he lowkeyed missed it and he felt good saying it again and realized how many people, and more than half of the fans are going to love that they brought it back and saw all of us smile! 😄
no one is talking about how stevie continued to calmly talk about the two mashed potatoes while rhett was SO visibly upset by link's choice to put slaw in the mashed potatoes lmaooooo i was DYING
I would love to see this as a blind taste test! Link seems to rate things higher based on nostalgia, so I'm curious what the scores would be if they didn't know the brand/judging JUST on taste
I was re-watching this today with my friend, As soon as Link poured the coleslaw onto the mashed potato, he was like "NOOOO! DO AMERICANS DO THAT?" And I said "No... Link does that"
Lots of folks do it. In fact, many just mix pretty much every KFC food item in one bowl and mix it up. KFC even went ahead and just made it a menu item eventually
I will say the ‘vote like a beast’ website was very helpful. I finally got around to going on the site since I’m a first time voter (I’m 24 but had never voted before) and although my views lined more along the Green Party in some aspects, I did second best because I just felt it best to. The website was a big help and I thank you for it :)
So happy to have “Let’s Talk About That” back!!! Very cool that you guys are stroll trying to mix things up and be creative and try new things, but thanks for bringing back this classic aspect. I’ve missed it.
I agree I think they both already love KFC and didn’t score Popeyes the way they should’ve because of it but that’s just my opinion because I’d rather eat Popeyes everyday of the week and would only ever eat KFC if I had no other choice😂😂
I don't care about "ltat" either because stevie isn't captivating enough to have her own show. But honestly, Rhett and Link aren't what they used to be either Its actually pretty upsetting To me at least
i honestly think popeyes is better, i grew up with cajun food and if the food im eating has some spice to it i’ll automatically pick it over something that just has salt and pepper on it, however i think that the only thing that kfc does better is their mashed potatoes and gravy. Their mashed potatoes are just so much better and if i was reviewing it then i would give kfc a 7 and popeyes a 3 for the mashed potatoes
They invested in napkins because the food was so-so. KFC messed up their brand by getting rid of potato wedges. What a joke.Popeyes biscuit can’t be compared with kfc...I’ve never bought just biscuits alone at kfc, but I have at Popeyes 🤷♀️
Honestly their chickens taste kind of similar. I think for most people it just comes down to liking one seasoning more than the other. Personally I prefer Kfc.
This has to be the most nostalgia based episode ever. Anyone who thinks KFC is better than Popeyes is either blinded by nostalgia or hates actual flavor. Everything at Popeyes is objectively better this is not an opinion
Idk.. it's pretty inconsistent either way tbh. The chicken at the Popeyes where I live now is dry and meatless but the kfc is alright.. complete opposite of when I lived in los Angeles
I thought i was the only weirdo my whole life adding the slaw to my mash taters from KFC......im 47 and have done this my whole life and still do!!!! I NEVER eat their mash taters without the slaw....NEVER!!!! Im super proud me and the Linkster share this wonderful food invention.
Another Louisianan here I've been to kfc multiple times and popeyes but popeyes is infinitely better even tho I love KFC's Nashville hit especially when you put honey or syrup on it but popeyes is better
