Trade a couple of 2nds for Pelicans pick. Trade some combination of 21, 24, 25, and 38 to move up in draft or trade for a useful player.

Bc of the system that we have and emphasis on rim protection, we keep Mitch as the back up. Mitch works for some scenarios better than IHart. IE Embid - Mitch only playing 10-15 a night reduces his chances of injury as well - let's keep this thing together another season!

I was suggesting for a few weeks now to trade Mitch to OKC. You remove them from the Ihart sweepstakes by giving them the back up center to Chet. With adding Caruso to Dort and JWill, the Thunder are one dominant defensive player from being extremely good defensively. Mitch is the perfect player for them. Mitch+25+38 to OKC for 12. I’m a big fan of Edey, Clingan, Ware and Dunn. I’m trying to grab Edey and Dunn.

I'm really high on 2 guys who could be available in our rank. 1. Terrence Shannon Jr 2. Bub Carrington Shanon is a top 10 talent from this draft (mark my words). Bub is a 3 lvl scorer and gives me that IQ/Bones Hyland vibe. We need that type of player from the bench.

Goga definitely makes plenty of sense for the Knicks as a backup center who would provide more cap flexibility and at the same time bring a lot to the table that Thibs values at that position. Similar to I-Hart before he signed with the Knicks, we never really have gotten the chance to see him play a full season's worth yet as he didn't become a consistent rotation player until this past season but obviously the hope is he could also be more durable.

Thoughts on Rokas? Maybe decent depth piece/trade asset if he does well in SL? We kept him around for a reason

Im heartbroken to even fathom losing Mitch but I also know, with our spending to increase, we NEED to reset a salary slot. To be an effective and efficient salary sheet you need a few rookie scale contracts. With Brunson’s value set to skyrocket we need cheap controllable players to offset that. You need rookie scale contracts to balance your future.

I don’t see the Knicks being able to kick it down the road so I think the scenario of 24+38 to move up a few spots then 25 being traded for a later first and future second being the most likely.
