It's very difficult for KGF2 to break Bahubali 2 record. Bahubali 2 craze was on different level as it was connected to our culture. It had repeated viewings and attracted whole family audience all over India.
Being a Kannadiga, I feel proud of what KGF has achieved. It has received tremendous love from the audience, which is more than enough. KGF gives strength and encouragement for upcoming Kannada movies as previously Kannada movies had self-made limitations. Many multi-lingual Kannada movies are lined up, many may not have a great impression at the box office but it is a great beginning I would say.

Means as bahubali was released 5 years ago still earned 247 crore while after 5 years kgf is able to defeat bahubali in teems if money but it means that it's hype is not that much like as of bahubali. It is only hyped in South and youth generation not in Elders generation which means its not going to break bahubali record. Also overseas collection also matters
Dude you need to calculate first . India has largest population of babies born per year . Meanwhile babies are more than youth . And lots of babies watch bahubali that's why bahubali has more collection than kgf . If youth had more population than babies then kgf would be huge than bahubali

Honestly bro, it really doesn't matters, Bahubali's hype and craze and it's budget and scale was on another level, so the comparison on collection, I think is not the deciding factor here. The experience and moments I had while watching KGF 2 is unmatched and I don't think that any movie was or will be able to match that. Audience's Heart is Rocky Bhai's Territory ❤❤

1. Number of theatres in Karnataka is about 630. While AP & Telangana has around 2800+ theatres. So, obviously local viewership matters the most. 2. RRR & Beast was in theaters while KGF released. RRR had brand of SSR. This are the major reason for KGF's less earnings. Anyway it was our proud and hope it boosts sandalwood industries confidence. I hope, upcoming movies from Sandalwood will win hearts of whole country. Waiting for Vikrant Rona, which is next big thing from Sandalwood.

bro great analysis, but you missed 1 point bahubali and dangal were released before COVID and kg2 is during COVID. There are people who do not like to go to theatres coz of pandemic they wait to watch on OTT. So it was difficult for RRR also to break the records.
I want to mention few points here 1. Hindi version KGF2 will definitely cross Bahubali 2 2. in Tamil screen count is increasing this week and will help in long run 3. Due to Ramzan atleast 20 percentage of audience has not seen the movie, so on Eid day and days after Eid there should be healthy jump in collections India wise So definitely it is going to have a long run

Really I still remember the day when my whole family went to bahubali after the month. Yes after one month. In Telugu state.In Hyderabad getting bahubali ticket in first week was an achievement actually.And even after 1 month when we went to watch it on theater it was still housefull we were 6 members and we got only 5 tickets.The craze for bahubali franchise was next level. whereas Rrr doesn't even have half craze in Telugu states. just collected by huge ticket price.The starting price of Rrr is 200 whereas the endprice of bahubali was 150

Rajamouli was already an established star plus got great marketing on the bigger budget. KGF both films budget together is half of Bahubali2. So what KGF have achieved with so less promotion is historic. Also it is good for Indian cinema that we need more movies like KGF, Bahubali, Pushpa, RRR instead of movies instead of Radhe, Gehraiyaan, Gangubai, Zero

Comparing both movie budgets and talking about profit table is not correct. Bahubali/RRR has lot of set piecess and VFX, animations due to which budget will surely increase where as in KGF most of the shoot is done in real locations only so less budget. If director of KGF tries doing bahubali kind of movie, definitely he needs big budget. Comparing budgets for different films is not right because if both Rajamouli and Prashant Neel does same KGF with different budgets then contrast in budgets comes into picture

Kgf Is not a movie it is an emotion for all the youngsters. Neither I bother about the collection of the box office nor I want to disrespect any of the movies but I would appreciate the team of KGF and Prashant Sir who had made the film in such a low budget compared to other highly budgeted movies .... Which had done a great job in the collection beyond the expectation ❣️✨
The Big Reason For KGF Downfall Is Telegram and such websites who Uploading KGF Film online and One more reason is Clash with Vijay's Movie. At the time of Bahubali 2 People don't know about such websites and telegram and no Clash is there for bahubali 2 . Therefore It is difficult for KGF Chapter 2 to come closer to bahubali 2. But the success of tollywood is important 💯❤️
It's not about the collection, it's about the ROI. A Movie made with a budget of 100cr is compared with a movie with double the budget (250Cr*), a highly experienced renowned director with decades of experience who had already made movies like Magadheera, Eega and proved himself to the masses whereas Neel with just Ugram. The KGF has surely come a long way though.

Bahubali was bigger and better movie in every sense because 1) KGF is popular among young generation mostly. But I clearly remember my father asking me about the release date of Bahubali 2 back in 2017. That tells us literally whole India was mad about Bahubali. 2) It is 2022 and after covid prices are sky-high. Taking inflation into consideration Bahubali 2 is the clear winner.
You cannot compare RRR with kgf 2 as kgf is a sequel and there has always been good collections and hype for sequels whereas RRR is a independent movie though grosses 1100+ crores and still running in theatres.
Rajamouli name and have seen the type of promotion rrr did?it was absolutely insane and reports r that they spent 40crores just for promotion ,so all that hype helped it gain numbers too whereas kgf made minimal promotion

In long run yes, its difficult to beat bahubali but One thing for sure KGF collection is damm impressive. Facts that 1) it's home(karnataka) market is small. 2) tamil market is taken over by beast movie 3) it's not big budget or big VFX movie (ex:bahubali) 4) it's not a family friendly movie(ex:bahubali) , it has too much violence 5) personal opinion:- kgf team, they didn't marketed well. They have just 10-12 days after the trailer to market 6) And they released against RRR just after 2 weeks (I know rrr didn't make much effect on kgf collection but it did in a small way, yes it did) ex: telugu state's After all these Reseaons kgf giving competition to bahubali And it just crushed all the records like day1, 1stweek, weekend collection So it's damm impressive.
