KH 3’s Mind-Blowing DLC Exceeded All Expectations

At the end of every month, I will be reviewing a new game. This month's game is Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind. Yes, I know it is DLC, but it has enough content to warrant a review from me because I love the series.
Kingdom Hearts 3 was supposed to be the end of the franchise after 15 years of games. Re Mind throws that idea out as there are at least two more Kingdom hearts games in the works including "Kingdom Hearts 4".
As for RE Mind, the DLC is what Kingdom hearts 3 should have been on launch. I'm glad Kingdom Hearts 3 finally got a proper end, it just took a year longer. Re Mind does an excellent job giving players more while reusing a lot of the old assets from the launch game. Replaying old fights as new playable characters from a new perspective of the story is satisfying.
We get to learn why Sora disappear saving Kari, Kari gets to have her moment to shine, new Data Battles are given to rock players worlds, new modes like Data Greeting were added to flesh out the communities creativity, and fans of the franchise have a lot more to look forward to on the horizon.
Overall Kingdom Hearts 3 Re Mind is an excellent DLC to enjoy more story and gameplay. It has its drawbacks, but none of them break the DLC.

Nowhere official has it ever said that kh3 was gonna be the “last” kingdoms hearts game. It was stated though that kh3 would be the end of the “Xehanort saga” back when the game was still in development. Think of kh3 as the “season finale” and the next “season” will be about the fortellers and Yozora.

They hinted toward it being the end but left it open. I heard the end of the Xehanort saga before release but if KH bombed I imagine the game would have quietly gone away. I am excited about more kingdom hearts!

I'm glad to say that I'm back, missed your content. Had to step away for a moment, the BO4 burn out was too much for a little bit. I appreciate the new content, you've grown so much. I do miss the zombies rabbit hole but back when it still had some mystique. Nemesis is right around the corner, wooo! Will you check out FF7 remake?

I'm keeping my expectations low and really I'm just glad they're expanding the universe in anyway with FF7, yet at the same time I've never been more excited for a form of entertainment to be released, a song of ice and fire comes close but admittedly FF7 has the nostalgia whistles. Will there be a zombroz tomorrow? Jason :(, but at the same time good for him, I'm sure after so much time invested it's good to pursue something else.

while remind may be good I just wish the norm in gaming wasn’t the initial release being a disappointment only to be fixed in post production with later patches and DLC.

To be fair, Nomura doesn't know what the fans want. He's not a mind reader. He didn't know that fans wanted data battles, oathkeeper, oblivion, etc. At least he's hearing the complaints and fixes the problem. I'm just grateful I didn't have to waste another $60 just to have those features.

Well the price of KH3 has dropped significantly. Right now there is even a sale on PS store for $18 for KH3 and $30 for the all in one package. The game will probably stay discounted for the rest of its life.

I took KH3 straight back for a refund as soon as I finished it. Stopping 'world domination' to play ghost chess? A 3 year old could've thought of a better ending. I'll wait until there's a combo under $20 before I ever consider touching a Kingdom Hearts game again

I wouldn't take the game so seriously. The story has never been that great. The game is a light hearted kids game that evolved into a little more over the years.

Still pissed Final Fantasy 15 will never be finished. They had such a good base game but just like KH3 it was taking too long to make so instead they just said F it.

It'll be fun to play, but just don't expect to understand the story completely without playing the others. People do over exaggerate how complicated it is, but you should understand enough to enjoy it

@@edgeofultima7483 I feel like sometimes the dialogue could have been better in some scenes in Kingdom Hearts,for exemple In KH2 the first time we see Xemnas Goofys says"its the guy who is not Ansem" instead he should have said its the nobody from that impostar or Mickey said"you see he is not realy ansem he just told everybody that he was Ansem" Instead he should have said he is an impostar who stole the identity of Ansem the wise".

no you should play KH1, 2, and Birth By Sleep at least first. If you have PS4 get the all in one package that is coming out

Right now the PS store has all the Kingdom hearts games on sale for cheap. I'd recommend playing Kingdom hearts 2 before 3 if you can only play one. Otherwise try hitting KH 1, 2, and BBS. Then you can watch the rest in the in game recaps in KH3.

Mr. Wave Rider Probably not a good idea. The gameplay is fun, but you may not enjoy the story.

I think it's great personally. Most of the problems the series has is with pacing issues which only exist because they have to fit the Disney Worlds in.

Removing Disney from Kingdom Hearts is like it stops being Kingdom Hearts. Disney is pretty much the main thing for this game. If you take it away, it just stops being Kingdom Hearts.

@@Redxan600 not really? Kingdom hearts is full of worlds. The only 3, actually relevant, disney things are Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. The actual storyline, however, would remain. The main characters would also remain. The possiblity of worlds and the main storyline would also remain

@@Radaustin27 yes I ve played both for years and dark souls is only hard if you dont know how to time your rolls, and people always have help. Kingdom hearts is solo and you can't just roll spam you have learn how too fight your bosses.
