I'd be cool if kha'zix's character development was that, the more animals and humans he consumed, the less the void influences him. We already have the plot point that, the void is influenced by the physical realm just as much as the opposite, so, how cool I'd be if he turns on the void, trying to protect the enviroment he has grown to love, you can't be an apex predator in a hivemind after all. This way, you could make his relation with rengar as rivals or even friends, and keep the both of them alive. You could just make him a boss in the mmo that'd also be fine.
Imagine that he was a Boss in the MMO and after you defeat him he accepts his defeat making him seem more human, so you get options to either kill him or to spare him, depending on which option you chose you get different things like perks or items

This is the best interpretation i can think of Kha'zix really, maybe not as friends with Rengar but definitely something more akin to respectable rivals rather than mortal enemies supposed to kill each other
And maybe after he turns on the void, he starts hunting and consuming void creatures and then becomes more like his original void self or something in between, maybe he drifts back and forth between void and runterra.
Something that I would really appreciate with the void monster is to add a bit of nuance in terms of how much their autonomy separates them from the void. For example, Khazix has developed a liking for hunting and so he would not agree completely with the watchers plans of ending Runeterra, although he doesn't exactly know what to do about it. Similarly, Rek'sai is now the mother of entire legion of monsters, so she could develop a level of attachment to her brood. Exploring how intelligent each of them actually is could help different them so that they aren't just different flavors of space monsters
That’s also bel’veth’s motive, runeterra and humanity also “infects” void monsters as much as they infects runeterra, giving mindless monsters earthly desires that conflicts with the watcher’s ideals. Even the watchers are corrupted somewhat at least physically as you can see them sprouting human-like features.
The thing about him speaking might come from the fact that he ate sentient beings(mostly humans from probably Ixtal, the Killash tribe,yordles,etc) and he adapted the intelligence and speech from them.
Him being predominantly insect-like is prolly because that’s what he started hunting and adapting to before he work his way up the food chain. He stays insect-like because it’s just the form of one of the most efficient predator scaled up to size. Head cannon only tho. Bel’veth is more marine-like because she’s from the coast, rek’sai prolly got her form from some desert borrower. One of rek’sai’s follower from lor is just a giant rhinoceros beetle.
Kha'zix being a void bug while the rest of the void evolved into deep sea creature aesthetic still keeps up on the lovecraftian idea of the void, as both exist on the mythos. Although if they want to redesign him into the deep sea, there are some ancient crustaceans that could be used to keep some of his bug look.
I feel like a good way to reasonably get the evolution function to work would be by putting ever champion he kills into a category like assassin, tank, bruiser, mage. Then every time he kills a champion he becomes more like one of those category’s. So then instead of reworking him for all 100ish champions you only have to worry about 5ish.
I started playing League right after Syndra dropped, and back then I only played Cho'Gath top. I got to experience the hype of a new champion drop for the first time, and it being Kha'Zix was an absolute dream to me. I love all things buggy and alien and inhuman, and Kelloggs here was immaculate. It was through him that I learned a whole new role, Jungling, and then that experience mixed with Top helped bleed me into Mid Lane. I love my bug boy so much.
Kha’zix was the newest champ to be coming out when I first started playing league. Remember when Riot used to release the splash art videos? I do! They were so sick, especially if you had any interest in art. And the whole idea of a champ that evolves through the course of the game was so amazing to me, like they couldn’t possibly make other champs with similar evolution abilities… surely. Anyway yeah bug champ is awesome and has a cool thing going on with cat champion.
When i was playing league, i rolled a mecha skin for kaz, and after buying the eva chroma, i played him for like, 2 months. He is my favorite assasin (outside of that time when udyr could build lethality and one shots everyone)

@@kkinthewheelchair3049 kayn only has 2 forms and it depends on if he damaged melee or ranged more but with champion with this mechanic will be like kayn^2 it will be able to adapt to every CLASS we already have like 8 or so classes (correct me if im wrong on this one) and i think it will be a headache to balance + we already have a crab balancing team
@@k0rizo we have brusier , tank , mage , adc , support and assassin, My idea would be killing brusier and tank give him more max health and change his w into a armour move ( similar to garen's w) , killing support and more gives him more mobility and changes his e into a blink ( similar to shaco's q) and killing adc and assassin gives him more damage and give his q a max health damage

Kha zix was the first champion I ever picked in league of legends, I remember just looking at it's icon and being like "yeah this bug monster seems cool" and locking in. It will always have a special place in my heart even tho I am a terrible jungle player.
i really like the idea of kha'zix gaining something new after killing a certain champion enough times, and i think it would be possible for him to get a version of that where it's based off categories like after killing champs from the frieljord 10 times he gets an extra 10hp/lv or something like that.
For me the memory, thats etched into my mind is me seeing the Rek'Sai champ ability overwiev. That was the first interaction i had with the game, and its just lives rentfree in my mind to this day
The idea to make Khazix evolve in game is neat. And if every champion individually would be hard, it could still be done based on regions : - Killing X frejlord champions increases the slow on W. - Killing X Ixtali would boost his stealth passive. - Killing X shadow isles champ would boost his Q isolated dmgs. - Killing X bilgewater could boost his E length. And so on. Don't know how the balance would work, it could simply be like the "rival quest" they introduced but tailored for khazix, and whereas doing it for every single champion is impossible, for a dozen regions it is feasible.
I think the best way to integrate the growth and evolution mechanic would be, in its own crackpot mix of each champion fall under either ranged magic, ranged attack damage, melee magic, melee attack damage and tank and his abilities will scale based on what champions he kills like for ranged magic, his ranged abilities scale apply on hit or for melee attack damage he gets like set amount of lethality and ad scaling or something like that. Its a little goofy but in practice it might be better due to holding similar mechanics to Kayn soul orbs.
I still think its wierd that we never had a cinematic where rengar and kha zix fight . Would be awesome that maybe kjazix loses a leg and regrows a different new leg from another animal . At least some story progression after 10 years

The best they could do with that eating champion thing would be per region, kill enough Demacians and you get a magic shield or smth, kill enough Shadow Isles monsters and you get extra magic damage, kill enough Ionians and you become cancer, etc. That was also an idea I had for a legendary Cho/Sylas skin, where the model would change based on the last thing you ate/stole ult from
I kinda hate that Kayne's whole evolution gimmick would map just as well, if not better, onto Kha'Zix. Like, maybe he can similarly gather "essence" off champs, with each ability having two evolution paths that you can lock in separately upon gathering specific breakpoints of said "essence". You could divide it between melee and ranged or physical and magic damage, or by some other criteria. And said evolutions could give Kha'Zix different sidegrades, like his Q can either leave a mark on a target that gets detonated upon being hit with another damaging ability or hit the target with a stacking armor reducing effect, to prioritize either his assassination or brawling fantasy, etc. And, once again, you could have him be able to combine these different design principles just on different abilities, so his Q may be evolved to support an assassin fantasy while his W leans more towards prolonged fights. But not only does that exist already but it would probably be very difficult to balance since it's not all-or-nothing like Kayn, as well as requiring different, readable visuals for each evolution, so it's not realistic. Kha'Zix really does have a very difficult fantasy to translate into an actual kit and character.
the updates to dragon and the rift in general could be so cool for khazix tho? qiyana has her ability that interacts with the terrain, tons of other champs can interact with walls and structures, so kha should be able to evolve with the camps he kills. he could even get certain buffs based on dragons or voidling/herald/baron kills. the game evolved around him... he needs to catch up. (pun intended)
I like Kha’zix. His gameplay is surprisingly fair for an assassin. He’s mobile but not too much, deals heavy damage but can’t duel most fighters, requires skill to use well, unique in design, HAS lore, and is unique in gameplay design. I miss champs like that

It might be interesting to embrace the idea of Khazix having changed since leaving the void rift, in comparison to the newer void spawns. He is older and therefore differs. Regarding speach; how about he starts the game incapable of speech but starts using words more and more, depending on how many champions he kills.
I feel like if Rito wanted to tell actual story with Michael Buggis, go one of two ways: either go the Runeterran cryptid route and have him be a roaming entity, or get psychological and have his intelligence steadily give way to pure instinct and make it tale about loss of self/agency to the whim of your body.
I feel like you can push him forward by making him evolve in the story line , what if he consumed something more powerful? What if he somehow went to bilgewater and consumed some kraken thing ? The idea is limitless
I think your idea of evolving could be doable if toned down a bit so instead of unique champion interactions it was like "if you kill a mage X times your W deals magic damage and has 30% magic pen" "if you kill X skirmishers your Auto Attacks and Q deal bonus max health physical damage" "if you kill X Vanguards your E gives you a stacking % damage resist" Something along these lines would be doable but knowing how fast Riot does reworks it would probably never happen.
What if they gave khazix a passive to evolve that works off of how many jungle camps you clear. Work kinda like IVS in Pokemon. Like if u kill blue 5 times you get something. Or raptors 10 times. But you can only get so many so you gotta choose what you take carefully.
Having unique effects per cham would be 100 times easier and BUG-free, because Viego and Sylas just use the existing champ, but Kha'zix would get his own coding for effects

I think that evolving mechanic couldn't be thaaaat hard. Every champ has atleast one passive effect (more or less), so after 5 kills of the same champ the Kha can get the passive effect for itself. After new Q,W,E,R evolve, he can gain additional passive effect from different 5 kills. It could snowball really good if you play with it, but I think it is so passive, that new players or players clueless about this passive, would still make an impact on the game and it would feel good on him
Personally I think Zac’s funny name should be Saul Gooman because haha funny Breaking Bad reference, but I’ll leave that to the 1 million + mastery silver players
How about giving him new models based on the classes of champions like he kills three warrior champions and becomes stronger with less magical power kinda like Kayn
To be fair to the imbalance of the khazix rengar matchup, khazix getting a fourth evolution for winning is way better than Rengar getting another passive stack. So, he is favored in that way.

as a K6 Main since 2013, i totally agree on that idea, and getting 4 evo without the event, because you cant get the full potential of your champ without a rengar on the other team!

a missed Potential that pissed me off that is related to Khazix, but not about him which is Belveth Passive Why Riot did not let her get the VoidSPawn Passive from Killing Khaz/Vel/Cho/Kog/Rek/Kai/MAlz ... since they all void like baron and Herald
I think that there is middleground for ur evolution idea just like mąkę something like "dna shards" (every dna shard would represent champion class) and every champ has its own dna shard/shards like Leona is tank and after killing Leona he gains more health almost the same idea but just simplified,
Maybe, not copying every champion but every role, when kills a Juggernaut he gets more AD, when kills a Tank he gets more Armor or MR and chunkier, stuff like that, but he does feel dated compared to rengario
"Why can Kha'Zix talk?" The Kiilash tribe were unable to hunt Kha'Zix successfully. So much so that they made Kha'Zix is the highest trophy. I think it can be reasonably assumed that Kha'Zix killed (and then consumed) members of the Kiilash tribe from these unsuccessful hunts. And since Kiilash can talk, Kha'Zix can talk.
I dont think rengar matchup is kha zix favored as kha can just kite rengar with his w and if you all in rengar and he heals your burst with double w he will extreme amount of damage himself so it isnt really a one sided matchup
what you ask is NOT huge, especially with all the infinite money rito can create, it's just that rito just doesn't care about any of that, if the printing money machine isn't broken, they wont even bother to look over your or my opinion on the matter
