People think Khabib is big brothering Islam. I'm willing to bet Islam is putting himself in those situations for training. You have to put yourself in vulnerable positions to learn how to defend. Like when a brown or black belt lets you mount.

He is too short. His arms are too short for those weight divisions. Geometry is important. If you cannot reach, you cannot strike or take down. People in those divisions have long legs and arms.

Khabib is an artist. The way he finds those gaps and takes advantage of opponents movements is untraceable. You gotta be extremely passionate for the sport to learn it.

@@alkahfi8500 if you start with wrestling while your tendons are still weak, you'll end up with all kind of knee/back/neck pain. And bjj with tear your hips and all you joints. Judo implement a raw strength/explosiveness and smart weight management, wrestling and bjj only does after consuming you body. That's why young judoka always learn other disciplines faster than the others.
