Scrap the Conor-Dustin fight. Make it Conor-Justin and Dustin- Tony. Winners fight for the belt. Chandler needs a couple top ten wins before he deserves it.
RU-vid user but Conor was experienced back then? Lol come on they both were inexperienced and I actually think Dustin had had more fights then Conor before they met! Stop using that excuse
GSP said he wouldn't call him out because khabib made the promise to his mother for his father. GSP respects that and wouldn't want to disrespect khabib's dead dad. You should understand that chael
Did you listen to him at all? He gets that. What YOU don’t seem to get is that the UFC and fighting is a business. That’s his perspective for his point. GSP isn’t interested in playing himself up obviously, but if he was, Chael is 100% on point.
@@colejames423 to do what he said may be "good for business" but it's also super disrespectful. There's a line you don't cross and that death of family. Jon and Dc knew that. Conor and Khabib knows that and so should everyone else.
@@karthiksabareesh2869 Clearly it would be a waste of time, only You understand in the sea of idiots. Uzman or Colby would be the Only challenge for Khabib at this point in the universe, but Khabib doesn't/willn't go up to 170 even though we question if he made weight for the 155 just 2 days ago. The ball's in Khabib's court no matter what and you can't piss him off, so, best to just let him sail into the sunset.
Khabib has earned it. He's defended his title against vicious competitors. Never lost a fight and he's brought fame to his home region. Good luck champ! 🦅🦅🦅
He shouldn't be considered goat though. Just like people trashed Conor for cutting so much weight at FW. Conor went on to prove himself at a higher weight. Khabib would be average at a higher weight.
@@MisterFuturtastic there is nothing to prove for Khabib, fighting in different weight doesn't defined GOAT status, you are just another salty Conor fanboy so take your L and chill, Khabib is THE GOAT period.
@@sharinglungs3226 absolute truth. Gsp is like Dana, everything he says or does is to protect his ass. Never fought khabib but never said he wouldn't do it, never gave that rematch to Hendricks, he ran away instead. Never came back despite keep saying that he may return. The only time he came back was against Bisping because he knew he could win, and by the way he did it in a different weight division because he was afraid to ruin his legacy if he fought Woodley. Everyone defends this guy saying he's the best and everything, but I can't stand him.
Agreed, Chael is spot on if youre trying to market yourself and get back into the UFC for a belt. GSP is retired though, simply put his interest in coming back does not surpass his interest in staying retired.
Meanwhile Jon "Steroid" Jones is 1#. Makes no sence. Any other sport he would be stripped of all rankings and titles. #UFC#GreedyAndUnproffesionalBitches
I know it's khabib, but justins ground game was absolutely atrocious, khabib had him in full mount an in a submission within 5 seconds each time he took him down.
He never got taken down and kept there before except for 17 seconds so he neglected his bjj. Victim of his own success and still definitely his fault don’t get me wrong
“I only bring this to you because...”. Then doesn’t explain why he brought it to you. Gotta love uncle chael. You’re dead wrong tho.. GSP is not wrong or lying. He will not call him out. He’s too respectful
Gsp will never make that fight. He’s far too removed from the sport to get in there with someone active and in their prime. He’ll get mauled and ruin his legacy.
Man, I bet you that Dana will waste no time putting Conor in position to win a title, despite him not having a significant win since 2016. Meanwhile, Tony had a 12-fight win streak, lost once in a fight that wasn’t even supposed to happen and now, he has to work his way up again. This truly is a cutthroat business.
@@nicootimee yeah I'm pretty sure giving Conor a title fight at this moment is a problem, because Dana knows he won't be active and his main motivation was a rematch with Khabib.
Chill. Tony’s best win is over Kevin Lee. Yes he’s had an impressive twelve win streak but the quality of opponents matter more than the quantity of them.
TRULY IS NOTHING LEFT FOR HIM TO DO THOUGH.. HE CLEANED IT OUT.. EVERYTIME HE GETS AN OPPONENT.. HE MAKES THEM LOOK LIKE A CHILD.. HONESTLY.. AFTER HIS PERFORMANCE AGAINST JUSTIN.. TONY WOULDNT BE ABLE TO BEAT KHABIB EITHER..
@@kinginblack3321 how you gonna sleep on poirier like that, the guy proves times and times that hes a worthy of a champion and a class act and yet again people still underrated him somehow, dont even start on tony😂
Khabib had his best performance to date. What's scary is he had a broken foot, weight cutting issues, his father recently passed, and more obstacles than he ever experienced prior to the fight. Incredible perseverance.
Had Tony lost by decision , khabib wouldn't have retired. He felt there was no competition left in the division. The way Tony waved his hand and ran away from Justin. That sealed his career right there. Anything else is plain B.S
I really am over the Tony/khabib fight. Looking back, Tony would have been crushed like the rest. It was the 12 fight win streak and unconventional skills that blinded us. khabib is GOAT
Khabib actually achieved what we meme Uncle Chael achieved. Never dropped, never bled, never lost a round (okay he lost 1 but c'mon), never lost a fight, forever undisputed, retired the undefeated champ. Wow. What a legacy.
GSP has a lot of money. he doesn’t need to talk trash. When you’re the greatest of all time, you don’t have to talk trash in my opinion. No need to sell a fight. His performance sells itself
I dont know about that. Everyone can be beat. I think in hindsight beating conor was very elite. The others? Never fought Tony and to be honest his real division was 170 or 185. But he ran the table as it was and that is an accomishment.
It was Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov's dream to have his son Khabib reach the record of 30-0. Abdulmanap passed away from covid-19 complications on July 3rd. Speaking to his mother, Khabib found out that she did not wish for him to continue fighting without his father. When asked who he should keep company with, the Prophet told a man to keep company with his mother. He repeated this three times for emphasis. When the man asked the question a fourth time, the Prophet told him to be kind to his father. Khabib made his mother a promise. Today he officially retired with a record of 29-0
I disagree: Gaethje lost to Khabib, but he is still the number one guy, so the other fights should be for a spot across the cage from Justin for the title.
How is he number 1? Poirier has proven himself more than Gaethje, and Poirier vs Conor is already in talks. It makes plenty of sense to make that title fight. Did you see how easily Gaethje was controlled on the ground? Obviously Khabib is on another level, but that triangle was way too easy. I think Gaethje is lacking in the bjj department. He has wrestling but he never uses it. He got dusted by Dustin already.
Look at who McGregor beat , don't focus on the loses , look at some of his old wins and the names he has under his belt , I know he fought Cowboy at 170. I can't see him doing too much in that division but I think if he goes back to lightweight he has a chance to be The King Again
@@user-gw4zg1qm8m tough because he just lost to the champion. You could give him Hooker, Felder or Lee all who are coming off loses. Or even a fight against Oliveira. Probably has to win a fight against one of them and then face one of the 4 top names I said above.
@@akirabaskoro9480 hard because Hooker just lost to Dustin. I get Tony is coming off a lost but it’s Tony and they’re promoting big things for Chandler.
Khabib haters: Khabib fought tomato cans most of his career! He’s not close to being the goat!! He smoked Conor Dustin Justin Johnson RDA He was never in danger against the top 55’ers or the unranked 55’ers. No argument you have is valid, he’s better than your heroes. Take the L like every opponent he’s faced has and move on.
lol no one has ever said Khabib's opponents were weak, but don't make up fake narratives. Everyone who has a lick of knowledge on mma/ufc knows that Khabib is in the goat contention.
Hear me out: with the belt being vacant, how about an eight-man Grand Prix for the vacant belt, just like the Pride GPs we all loved. There's more than enough talent at 155 to make it work, and simply having a hot-shot fight for a vacant belt will make a lot of people angry because again, LW is stacked right now. Spread it out over multiple months/events to build interest, maybe even have the QF matchups on ESPN to whet the appetite and get people to buy the SF and F on PPV. Eight guys enter: Poirier, Ferguson, Chandler, Oliviera, Gaethje, Hooker, Conor, and A.N. Other (maybe have the eighth guy win their way in? it'll be a good way for a guy like Dariush or Kevin Lee or Islam to make themselves famous). Champ gets the belt, plus the respect of all of us because they earned it.
I like this and you could definitely do this over the course of a year like a season. Let them fight on their normal contract but whoever wins the tournament gets the BELT and ... ONE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLAR Grand Prize, additionally they can have a fight for third place and rights to be the next contender. Basically boat loads of great fights and maps out the pyramid for the division going forward. I’d love it if the UFC would do actual seasons and tournaments like this, unfortunate that it mostly likely won’t happen as long as Dana White has his hand on the steering wheel.
@@RampageRacing litterally been calling him the next askren 2 bro ever since he started talking shit about being better than khabib without a single ufc fight
Incorrect, That was an enraged Khabib that wanted to hurt Connor, he could have easily finished him in 2, but he chose to go deep and hammer him into pulp.
I couldn't stop laughing! Imagine GSP saying, "The only reason Khabib retired is because I ran his ass out a here!" Lmao "He knew I was next!" OH GOD THATS FUNNY!!!

@@MisterFuturtastic not a chance Conor could wrestle for 10 years he still won't beat Khabib, Khabib's body was groomed to fight and wrestle, his frame developed for it he'll always have an advantage over Conor, and Khabib showed phenomenal BJJ transitions too, Conor hardly shows that.

Jan 23rd isnt signed . Gaethje called out conor today on a post fight interview. Saying you 2 aint sign so if u want hook up for the belt lets go . Or something like that.
I think tony should rematch justin. Tony took a huge risk on a short notice to switch his entire fight plan and it didnt pay out. He should be apart of this convo just like how jorge is still in the convo for taking a championship fight in 48 hour notice and lasting 5 rounds with arguably the most well rounded welterwight champion in moderm ufc history
I would have been happy for Gaethje, but I really wanted Khabib to win because I thought the GSP fight would end up being his last one to go for the 30-0. Khabib vs GSP would have been the biggest fight ever.
Lee needs a few more good wins. The real guy left out is Justin, I think Tony vs Justin 2 for the belt, then winner of Conor vs Dustin gets the next shot. Chandler needs to prove he has the chops for UFC
I really hope Kahbib becomes this legendary MMA figure where he invites fighters he feels worthy enough to go to his home country and learn from him for a summer or something .
Everyone isn’t getting it. We’ve just witnessed Greatness. Years from now, they’ll be making and telling stories & movies about Khabib. Stories will be told of how his work ethic and mindset made him completely destroy his opponents. Not physically but psychologically. And that for me is the true art of fighting. He imposed his will and didn’t need a fighters lucky punch to win. His opponents couldn’t fight their best, they crumbled into fighting how they think they should fight to beat Khabib. His form of MMA wrestling and ground control is basically a new form of martial art. Now how many people can say that!? That they’ve made a new form of martial art! People now are only now learning what he’s been using. He’s paved the fighting style for fighters like Zabit & Khamzat. He’s Muhammad Ali & Bruce Lee combined! He’s a fighters fighter. He doesn’t knock you out, he chokes you out preserving your longevity but destroying your legacy. He’s danced with the best of the best, and always came out on top. A stoic inside and outside the cage. A true representative of his religion. Muhammad Ali was before my time, I was too young to witness Tyson. But I’ve been lucky to have witnessed in the era of Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov.
Khabib is GOOD at evrything. HIS boxing ,gapling, strikes everything. He is GOAT.So just give him respects. It doesn't matter what Justin do he is not even 10% level of Khabib.

Isn’t Gaethje still the Interim Champ? I would think he would fight the winner of Poirier vs Conor for the Belt. 🤔 Edit: So Gaethje is the #1 contender. So that leaves both belts open?
Adam Von Königsberg best thing that happened to him was Khabib retiring. Losing twice to Khabib would kill his proper twelve sales. Losing once, he is still the biggest star. Conor needs to lose twice in a row to fully lose his stock and khabib would have made that happen.
I don't understand the whole argument that he lost a round. To Conor? I feel like he and Conor traded more or less, only difference being Khabib knocked him on his ass that round, so i give that to Khabib.
