Guys, I am Russian and I can explain you the difference. Consider the name as Habib. Just that russian "H" is stronger than english "h". English "h" sounds like a light exhale to me. Russian "H" is stronger. That's the only difference. But it's not Khabib))) by the way Russian letter "H" is written as "X" (sounds almost like "h" but stronger). So his name in Russian is Хабиб.

Yeah khabib would just straight up take down his opponents and beat the shit out of them. Biggest examples are Michael Johnson and Edson Barboza. Damn near looked like Johnson was getting jumped
Islam likes to challenge himself and his opponent by not going in for the kill immediately. Khabib is someone who takes the openings seriously and a tiny bit of opening is just an opportunity for him to go all the way and just lock you out until its over.
@Konv : I don't think it's all about Islam challenging himself. Khabib also goes full throttle because he has an insane amount of cardio and will to bank on. While Islam is a great grappler but he has nowhere same cardio as Khabib, thatswhy he doesn't rely on gnp but goes for submissions.
I don't think it's a huge difference between the two. I think their squeezes are similar but Islam has a bit more power. It's just the method that breaks you. If someone plays with you you'll have more room to take a break to breathe a little bit but if someone is on you for the entire fight and he has more endurance and he imposes his style of fighting on you he's gonna break you both physically and psychologically.

It's crazy how gentle and nice these Dagestani dudes are but inside the cage they are crazy fighters that will gonna make their opponent ponder "what in the world did I just get myself into" 😅
Khabib gameplan was like ufc Brock Lesnar who tend to bring opponent to ground and pound them there.. khabib of course has more perfected this gameplan because of his experience in MMA over the year.

You're trying too hard to convince yourself..i've heard Belal say the same thing umar said about the two guys,,Islam has better bjj and judo and likes flexing on opponents and he's smooth making it appealing to the eye..while khabib has better wrestling and ground& pound making it rough showing no mercy while being less technical than Islam...DC said the same thing so i don't know what you're on about fanboy
@@Chille10 belal never said it tho. Islam and khabib are so technical in the ground. But, khabib give no space and teach belal in hard way (practice). However, islam give belal some tips to escape. Both of them have totally different style in grappling department. Khabib chose to GnP than get better position and maintain current position. I would say that was more wrestling style than bjj. In other hand, islam tend to change position to get better position even tho sacrifice his current position (bjj way). Thats why a lot of fighter called khabib style is smash
@@rizals_archive i agree, maybe less technical was a wrong choice of words from my side..belal said islam will go for submissions to get you out early rather than making you suffer like khabib...khabib takes the wrestling route by pinning you down and pounding you while maintaining good positioning and islam takes the grappling routes looking for submissions and if that doesn't work out he pounds you (his gound & pound isn't as good but grappling is better than khabib)
@@Chille10facts. islam is more well rounded fighter. better judo, bjj, striking but khabib is a GOD in the grappling. islam cant ground£ or the opponent will have an oportunity of go out. people Who say Islam has better grip are crazy cause khabib isnt holding you and then go to the sub, he is smashing you. and judo of Islam is pretty good but khabib is so fast and good at one thing that he only needs go to the leg and take you down

We talk about a professional fighter who probably has never lost a round (not only a match) in his career... Anyone who thinks he could have beaten him probably doesn't realize how much strong, technic and intelligent is this guy. Precisely, Islam is probably more well well rounded and is more likely to choke you out, but Khabib always possessed a level of aggression especially in GNP which I personally haven’t seen since he retired
Also i dont think the ufc wants to have champions who arent entertaining so itll be harder for him to get the shot. Knockouts always trump hugging someone on the ground in terms of entertainment but i cant blame them from doing it to win.

I've noticed that some people call Islam "Khabib 2.0", but I think if you put them on their peak in front of each other, Khabib would absolutely dominate Islam, no offense to Makhachev.
Islam is more technical, but K habib is the ruthless, merciless, brutal one. So yeah Khabib is the better fighter. And don't forget K habib doesn't get tired

Ape in environment A with access to resources vs Ape in environment B with shortage of resources and no access…. both come from the same type of environment.
