Public figures Khairy Jamaluddin and Nori Abdullah talk about having a child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and how they have been able to cope with it.
My 37 year old nephew is an autistic child too. He is rather weak in communicating with others and cannot get along with all his siblings. Armed with a Diploma could not get him any job. Tried some fast food restaurants and hotels but no success. Then, I hired him to put him into the Engineering tendering department. Initially, he was very reluctant to call suppliers to quote but I cannot take no as an answer. Fast forward 8 years.........he is handling the department very well. Can communicate very well with the suppliers too. Give them a chance and you be surprised what they can do for you.
I hv a niece with asperger symptoms. She is not self independent and anti-social and has difficulty in communicating with others. With a diploma and due to communication problems finding difficulty to get a job. Can you help and share some advice. Tq
KJ...My respect to you. Staying loyal to ur wife and staying strong as a father. i hope one day you can become our PM as you have the resilience to be one
God sends a special child to special parents as he knows this child is going to well taken care and loved for he is. He is indeed lucky to have such loving parents and siblings. God bless all of you Mr. Khairy and family ❤
Thank you to Khairy and Nori for bringing awareness to special children. Having special children helps one to become better parents and a caring person.
Promoting the medical industry and vaccine in between the lines. Every child is born special, they should be love for whom they are and not used to promote political agendas. Can you imagine say everyone was the same?
People that are labelled as autistic are extremely gifted and should be allowed to explore their gifts without to many so called ‘professionals’ meddling in allahs’ creations
Never know kj &nori has autistic child but looking at their situations Timor is much, much more luckier & is great to talk abt it &let more people know so as the society can provide / understand better abt autism. Today is my 2nd daughter 24 birthday & she graduated from USM accountancy last yr & doing her final 4 papers in Acca sunway ipoh. Our only hope she can be self independent & able to get a decent job .As parent we are proud of her .We only found out she was autistic when she was almost 7 after confirm by a child specialist . Is great to talk & let more people know abt autism so as they being given a small space in the society’s .Tks
I have worked at We Rock The Spectrum part-time once and I am Nori and Khairy's niece. They are incredibly humble and very nice people. I learned so much about autism and how these kind of people behave. It was a really amazing experience! :D
I have a Autism son and he is 13 years old now. He only speaks a few words and not interested in writing or reading books but he is very good in Computer, Mobile and other gadgets. It is not easy to take care a special kids but u are the chosen one. May Allah bless good health and strength to all the parents and the Special Kids.

I discovered my daughter couldn't communicate when she was 3.We kind of did similar things as you mentioned here. Experts say many things. Alhamdulillah she is in her third yr in uni now. I pray Insyallah your lovely child will have successful and fruitful and meaningful life as the parents'.Have faith in Ar Rahim.. Pardon me for sharing. Wallah hu alam.
Having a Special child is a gift from God . He gives Special Need Children to only those parent who can handle them with love and care in abundance. I have a Special Child too and I thank God for having me as his mum and to teach and mould him isnt easy of course and I thank God he is able to work in a 5star hotel. In every defect and weakness check out for where lies the strength and utilise it to the fullest. God bless All Special Need Children and the greatest gift they have is their Mum and Dad.
But why autistic always occur in a high income group and high in developed countries? Was it because the hospital they choose to vexx their kids since newborn or the programme the mommy underwent during prenatal? Could it be inherited mental problems from parents?
I dont wanna hurt anybody's feeling..BUT GIFT FROM GOD,i rather say..god please keep the gift or pass it to some other couple....OR STOP SAYING GIFT FROM GOD..only the parents know the pain n stress they are going thru..feel sad for them.. Tqvm..thumbs up please....

Wow... Just saw this video... When I look at kcj always was thinking how lucky he as a successful politician but now I know tht you are amazing father too.. You are blessed with special child cause God know tht you can be fantastic parents for them... Anyway all the best.. Will pray for your son... Look for best in him...
You both are wonderful parents! Don't give up or give in to discouragement. Your child is precious! Wish more parents will learn from you both n be supportive n understanding to their children with Autistism. 👏👏
I have worked with autistic kids. What I did was I dont label anyone. I work with their strengths and not with their weakness. Basically treat all children with respect. Think like a kid. Curiosity about the universe is the best teacher 🌍🌍🌍🌍🌍
Its great that you have developed your unique own communication methodology with your son, This has developed his own independence from the inter dependency from the family, created by protective parents. He will mature into his own independent lifestyle as he grows up and will be ready to live on his own eventually -
Setiap apa yg di kurniakan ALLAH PASTI ADA HIKMAHNYA ..... IA MENDUGA KESABARAN .... DAN ... KEKUATAN MENTAL ... FIZIKAL DAN EMOSI BOTH OF U SBG PARENTS ..... SEMOGA ALLAH SENTIASA BERSAMA MU KJ N DORI ..... SALAM DR PORT DICKSON .....
Timor is a beautiful boy indeed.. takes after his mommy especially... :D. But he is lucky to have you both as his parents. From his drawings, you can see he is a genius in something. I hope you can help him find what it is and let him excel..the same way Kodi Lee excels in music. It takes really special parents for this job..and politics aside (yes, we are different), I can see you both score high points in this area. So, well done.
Respect kj dan isteri..btw ni takde kene mengena dgn politics...tp aku respect dgn ibu bapa yg ada anak yg istimewa..dan masih buat yg terbaik.. Salute to all u guys!
Thank you for sharing this with us. There are more and more children being diagnosed with autism now. your sharing tells many parents out there that they are not alone. I hope that one day, we would learn to reach out to the souls and minds of autistic children. maybe the limitation is that in them, but in us, we are the ones who don't know their language.
Yes, all of us should read up more about autism and understand better the other members of our big family on earth. Appreciate and not blindly criticize, even if we are medically learned.
I really hope more and more programs and mobile rehab centre can make more kids like mine get proper care and maybe have somekind of paternity leave or special allowance under the law to look after special kids which will not result in the parents losing their job. My Aiman is 6 y.o. GDD.
@Hesei Branko maybe most elderly people but most young people don't. Northern Europeans and north Americans are leaving the church when they found out this God is fake.
Malaysian pediatricians are hopeless when comes to diagnosing disabilities for early interventions. More awareness should be spread to bring out the potential or train special children like these. A lot of families couldn't come to terms with such children and kept them locked up at home.
Agreed. I was self discovered in my late 20 and yes I did get my diagnosis with full of hardship. It was devastating that none of people actually notice my traits(obvious one)which I have been visiting counsellor since I was 13 every year till my university life. Finally I actually learned from a video about autism in girl. I mean right away, I get the answer about my whole life.
@@sarah3412 so sorry to hear yr plight. But at least yrs is a light case? Perhaps it is time to establish better social services for autism, Down's and such...Btw, I had a Taska and was shocked at the number of special children then. Felt hopeless because doctors couldn't diagnose, so lots of them treated late.
@@janleeintube light case?? I dont know. As far as I concern there arent any light or heavy case in autism diagnosis. It is autism spectrum disorder, the difficulty maybe different depending on the traits. But we do experience similar issues, for example eventho I graduated. I didnt have job, not working. I do worked previously but keep getting fired and having trouble at work. I mean autism meaning different being different is hard in this world. I believe autism doesnt need treatment Im fine without any treatment growing up but people make my life hard im fine on my own. I mean if autism need treatment I believe non autistic person do need more treatment than we do. It just provide different accommodation that suit our need. Autism brain function differently dont force and give us treatment to function like typical people. U know what I was told on the day I get my diagnosis?? Its okay we gonna fix u. We gonna make u normal. Am I broken? Am i not normal? What is normal mean? I asked that to the Doctor. She didn’t dare to say a word.
Dear Khairy and Noni Abdullah. God bless you with a special autism child. We need to be patient as any special child with unexplained intelligence is a true blessing. Best of luck and happiness to your family 😊.from Mustapha Ong Abdullah 🥰🤗🤝😋🤲🤲
Extra patience and love needed. And i whole-heartedly pray for the boy a bright future, and i sincerely pray KJ doing the same good deed to malaysian but not for personal benefit.
