I have no idea why he is being considered for the mid rounds. He checks all of the boxes and looks better than some of the higher rated WR's. Looks like a 2nd rounder.
This dude is the most underutilized star in the nfl. wr 1 for the bills right now truly. #1 most efficient route runner in nfl 86.7 catch rate and 73.3 success rate on routes. both #1 in nfl in 2023.
And when he’s covered he does stuff like this. 4:03 He’s what u want in a modern Wr hands routes yac seperation I feel his wingspan is probably his only valid issue
@@jawnjawn3187 A lot of it comes from the divisions they played in, the nfl hold certain divisions higher than others, that's how players like him fall to the later rounds...
@@jawnjawn3187 he did have some drops, but they were concentration drops, not because of his hands. He has terrific hands, but needs to eliminate those focus drops.
@@Edub-Winter they’re really giving him the keys to the car this year. Kincaid will be important and Coleman should contribute but they without a doubt are banking on Shakir breaking out for real
Keenan Allen twin all day. Not the fastest or the biggest but can cut like no other and is always open. Check out Allen's college tape, same kind of production but was considered mid round graded pick 🤦
Looks like a steal. Good yards after catch and gets upfield often out racing defenders. Nobody really talking him up like Drake London, Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave etc. but I like him a lot.
@@jawnjawn3187 No drop issues he’s very dependable, he fell because he goes against low ranked defenses and corners and struggles to make separation against man to man, he’s a steal at round 5 tho he has a lot of potential
Apparently he ran a 4.43 at the combine, but I just don't see that when I look at his game-speed. That is without pads though, which can make a big difference for some. Some plays it looks like he's got the speed, then others it looks like you'd label him a "possession receiver" cuz he's not gonna take it to the house when he should. 🤔
Since it’s obvious Dallas does like drafting Boise State players, I would like to see us get him in maybe the second round if he’s available if we don’t go WR in the first round.
It’s a shame we were never able to give him a better qb to catch passes from. Shakir is the greatest wr in Boise State history, and it’s not even close. If he never had Shakir, Hank would have been exposed a long time ago.
I see Marvin Jones all day. I think this kid is going to be a solid number 2 receiver. I love his body control, quickness, and hands. He's got a special ability to catch. I'd take him for my Browns 3rd round all day.
As a bears fan, I've been talking about this guy for months. Athleticism, great hands run after catch ability, special team experience and did you see his 4.35 at the combine. What more can you ask of a receiver that you probably get in the fourth round. C Berry Toronto
i think there's sooo many more receivers better than him. I hope we get the wr from Arkansas, or NDSU, it's possible we could get one of those guys with our first pick which is early 2nd round... but I do suspect at least 7 receivers will be gone by the time we pick.
he tip the ball a lot. I'm not sure if he would have that much time to do that in the nfl tip the ball and catch it. and I haven't seen him out run anyone
You know what I like most of our receivers they drafted in later rounds yes. But they have one of the best examples in their locker room with Diggs that shows draft position don't matter just make most of all opportunities. Same with T. E as well with Knox.
I like Shakir, but I think they need a WR with real speed to stretch the field/defenses. Just my opinion, but I think a true burner would either result in explosives to said burner (now that 49ers will have a QB that can actually throw deep), or open things up for Deebo, Kittle, and Aiyuk. I'm valuing that more than what Shakir would do with those guys. 🤷♂️
@Thomas Hogan I never said Shakir was "a slow poke", but a 4.43 at the Combine doesn't equate to being a burner in pads. Elijah Mitchell ran a 4.33 at the Combine, but he is absolutely not a burner (fortunately he's very good and well-rounded even if he doesn't have the top speed). I don't think Shakir would be bad for the Niners, but I think a "a WR with real speed to stretch the field/defenses" as I said before [talking about in pads, on the field] , would compliment the 49ers' offense better.
How did this dude fall so far in the draft last year? Am I missing something? As a Bills fan I gotta wonder how how he would’ve balled out last season if he had ended up on a team that needed a WR1 or 2 or even 3. He showed flashes last season the few times the Bills did utilize him... it’s almost annoying sometimes when your team is loaded with talent cuz some really good players will inevitably get underutilized. It’s a good problem to have tho. I hope they somehow find a way to give him more snaps this season, such a waste of talent if they don’t
