Experimenting with guard cancel install. These "setups" were used on stand on weapon stand characters where [4]6A/B, 623C is difficult to connect. Usually the 623C will be omitted, meaning the bnb will awkwardly end on a [4]6A/B which is +0 on hit. In these situations, the opponent will usually challenge with their own good normals. Here's where the install comes in: block the incoming normal, then quickly GC and cancel it with 623C. The 623C will do much more damage as well as standcrash. Don't count on this always working however. The opponent may opt to block or use a fast move that's hard to GC in time.
How to Perform GC Install:
Simply do [4]6A/B without the 623 followup. That easy. Doesn't even need to hit. Just be sure not to do a raw 623 afterwards, otherwise you'll lose the install. Now the next time you guard cancel, you'll be able to cancel it with a 623. My guess is that for some reason the GC retains the followup potential of [4]6A/B. Thanks Capcom.
