Unfortunately Khanqah-e-Moula mosque was commissioned by Sikandar Butshikan. Same person who destroyed Martand temple. "The railing at the back of the mosque complex leads to a bright orange marking on the stone just below that suggests to the foundation belonging to the destructed Kali Shri temple" - Wikipedia

When shah hamdani came to kashmir from hamdan whole Kashmir has kashmir pandits they converted to Islam and we remained . It is there personal choice. But we should respect all religions that what all religions teaches

According to some sources, the current mosque structure was constructed after destroying an ancient temple dedicated to Hindu goddess Kali and a sacred Hindu site,[2] It is believed by some that Sayyid Ali Hamdani had the temple of Kali demolished and built the present mosque with its material.[3][4] and that a spring dedicated to Kali is still inside the mosque. The railing at the back of the mosque complex leads to a bright orange marking on the stone just below that suggests to the foundation belonging to the destructed Kali Shri temple.[5]Local Hindus were involved in various communal disputes and repeated altercations by 1942, agitating for the right to build a covered shrine adjacent to the Muslim shrine,[6] which eventually led to a boycott of Muslim-owned shops by Kashmiri Hindus.[7]

An inn stood there,that belonged to sultan sikander, which was dismantled on the orders of sultan sikander and afterwards the khankah was built there..A deed was written between hazrat Mir Muhammad hamdani Allahs mercy be upon him, and sultan sikander in this regard. That deed which is 600 years old is still present in khankah library..Anyone interested in facts can have a look at that. Regarding the temporary temple at the feet of this khankah, that was built during sikh rule, some 200 years ago. There is no historical evidence of that temporary temple before that.. None is of historians has described this temporary temple before sikh rule.. So kindly correct your facts and stop story telling...
