This was probably my favorite podcast ever from you. Simply because VDO is a little better spoken than the previous guest I feel. Less uh's and umm's and his willingness to just carry a story without being asked a question basically. lol
@@vdo101rdg101 Oh you were definitely not rambling man, not even once. I'm saying your transparency and articulation was a treat. I know you don't like playing top tiers, but sometimes I imagine you randomly showing up to a tournament playing MSP (you said you had a Psylocke, so that only further cemented it) and surprising everyone. lol
Keep em coming! 🔥 love podcast theory videos! gives you more background from all the dope mahvel players! We can all relate in someway we all came from the struggle and now we here! Good job Khaos 🔥
This was a really good interview and great questions I started fighting on Super Nintendo so this conversation felt like I was just chilling with my boys from back then 😊
Loving this episode very much! I can feel VDO feeling a bit sad that his time on this show was about to end. Like there’s so much more he wanted to talk about. @Khaos Thanks for having him onboard your show! He truly deserves all the hardwork from using his SHIELD team since 2003! Such a very humble dude and I’m glad I got to meet and play him twice this year at Texas showdown 2024 and our recent Austin TX sessions last month! And of course being VDO that he is he squashed me like a bug! 😂😭
We heard a few top players from the USA were coming to Mexico, and we got excited, but a lot of us didn't really go, but when the rumors about Khaos or VDO came, we actually were planning and counting our money, looking into renting a bus and stuff. But those were only rumors. VDO has really inspired a lot of us.
Fantastic pod bro. This brings me back to the AlphaISM Radio days. VDO is definitely one of a kind. Salute to bro for being one of most inspirational guys in & out of the game. Great work at South Bay Mashers as well!
Great episode. VDO is one of my favorite players to watch. It was funny hearing him explain where he got that back and forth Ken movement from. I'm always trying to emulate that myself when im playing ken in XvSF and ken transformation in MvC1 lol. It'll be cool to see him stream the collection if he gets the Twitch going.
I remember when I ran into VDO 2 times in xbl ranked back in 2013. I was like "Holy shit, it's VDO!". Of course, I got bodied. Thing is I was trying my best with MSP, and VDO was like "Oh poor baby"😂 . While I was getting schooled, I could almost hear VDO's iconic laughter when he's beasting. I remember doing Hail Storm in a match, and then he goes through it with a Ken invincible Shoryuken. But VDO is overall a cool guy to play. Respect! 💪💪
Agree with those who said this might be the best episode so far. Great stories, interesting questions and discussions, good chemistry and some life lessons.
Great interview! Speaking of wrists problems. Started playing again for about four months now, maybe 2hrs a day and both my wrists aren’t liking it….must be an age thing I’m in my mid 40s. Also came across an article or video a while ago saying that arcades back in the days were pushing developers to make AI harder and harder so they can make more money from players.
Yo, random question! I dont know if this has been answered by now or if somebody knows but today i ran into the Ducvader himself in ranked, the evo champ! Since im located in Europe the connection was prettybad but Duc still managed to gc ahvb my hsf and the one question on my mind is: How did he practice that back in the days without dummy recording function?! He can do it on any connection, thats his trademark, you see it so often with him! How does he do it?! Why is he better at it than any other player?
He's so damn good with it and it's a testament to what one can accomplish with enough experience. Duc has that muscle memory built in due to years of matches!
