khartoum with its sunshine and the beautiful blue and white nile rivers running through it has the potential to be one of the most beautiful cities in Africa and the jewel of Africa IMO
The Corinthia hotel is really lovely and I believe was built with Libyan investment originally. Ozone cafe in Khartoum is very popular and modern. These are two places I went when I have visited Khartoum. The Sudanese are very friendly
Originally, Khartoum served as an outpost for the Egyptian Army, but the settlement quickly grew into a regional centre of trade. It also became a focal point for the slave trade. Later, it became the administrative center and official capital of Sudan
@@TheAfricanScript I have not been in Africa so far, but I have Visited many countries, I have tried to make a settlement in South East Asia but Immigration is Hostile so I will look for another Country, maybe in South America. I have enjoyed You Tube Video on African people, their Culture 🌿 and they have Rhythm in their Soul body ☀️
Khartoum looks great!!!! Is safe for Foreigners? I am watching from Baltimore City, Maryland in the USA. It was brief and short, but I enjoyed watching it. Thanks.
I recommend for East Africa Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania and Kenya to visit - learn some basic kiswahili before going. Sudan + Ethiopia going through political strife right now..best to avoid.
Don't allow Sudanese in the north to fool you that they are Arabs, there are no pure Arabs in Sudan, but there are people in north Sudan mix with Arab blood in them.
@@TheAfricanScript You welcome brother , I live back and forth between Tigray and Khartoum,, Khartoum is really big city, bigger than Addis Ababa in size and population
watching from Ethiopia 🇪🇹 and one thing I want to tell is that, the word Khartoum is not originated by Dinka, it origin by Nuer people which mean "kier-tum" Kier _ river Tum _ meet (Khartoum) and I want you to know that too " Kier" mean river in Nuer language but in Dinka language "war" mean river. take the good research before you post the video
Bro you need to fact check; The moder Khartoum was predominantly occupied by the Luo Shilluk people (Acholi/Chollo). Otherwise nice documentary as the meaning of the name of the city is same in in Dinka, Nuer and Luo.
