If I could ever live to be a thousand years old, I will never ever hear a more beautiful piece of music being played like this by Khatia Buniatishvili.
It's not just the notes, but how they are played that separates Khatia from most of the others. She is an exceptional musician. All the pieces of the puzzle are there and Khatia puts them together perfectly.
@@kanudoss It is the touch of the key that Ms Khatia has mastered. Her piano teacher, whose name slips my mind, spend a great deal of time with Khatia and her sister Gvansa on how to play each note. I can't explain it well enough, but there are videos available that show those two sisters in their preteen years on up, learning how to play.
@@boblapee2289 Dear Bob, entire Russian school has been built on that. If one can’t master the piano touch he/she shouldn’t go near it as a concert pianist. Sorry, I don’t hear anything out of ordinary compared to many others, except nauseating display of what one might call distasteful and empty mannerism. But boobs are ok :)
The first time I heard this song I thought it was the most beautiful song I've ever heard. Now I've heard it about 500 times and you know what I think, it is the most beautiful song I've ever heard...
Such beauty, elegance, style, intelligence, grace, otherworldly talent... Khatia is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen, I am smitten every single time I see her
Bach arranged quite a lot of music by his Italian contemporaries. The concerto in D minor, originally written for oboe and strings by Alessandro Marcello (1673-1747), is one such arrangement. Alessandro was the elder brother of Benedetto, who was also a composer. The two brothers came from a noble Venetian family. Alessandro was an all-rounder. He drew and painted, made globes, wrote poems and played several instruments. Following a visit to Italy in 1729, the French philosopher Montesquieu wrote disparagingly that Marcello was “a kind of madman” and “a jack-of-all-trades for the semi-talented”. Talented or not, Marcello’s oboe concerto was also in circulation in Northern Europe. The Duke of Saxe-Weimar may have taken a manuscript of the work back to Weimar from the Low Countries in 1713. Bach’s keyboard arrangement, here performed by Patrick Ayrton for All of Bach, turns a concerto that was already modest in stature into real living room music. But, as Ayrton says, Bach’s approach to these arrangements was always to make them more interesting than the original. Nevertheless, the Italian character remains unmistakeable, making it one of the numerous examples of Italian-German symbiosis in Bach’s work. Back home in France, Ayrton also stands up for Marcello, in defiance of Montesquieu. Source: Bach Society
Since I've taken an interest in Khatia, I've noticed such a difference in orchestra's with and without her. She is like that beautiful flower that stands out in an arrangement of beautiful flowers. Her music is unmistakeable and is the essence of a Mother's love for her infant. I look forward to hearing Ms Khatia for my remaining years. I thank God for her.
You speak from my heart, I feel the same as you. And I can not understand that there are some people who discuss Khatia's performances. Who are those people? Are they jealous? Are they jealous?
I have met her and her sister in a flight Zurich Lyon 3 years ago, I couldnt trust my eves. We where in the bus which lead us to the aircraft and I have asked her if she was really what I thought she was . She smiled and answered yes. I said her in french "je vous adore" and leave her, I didnt want to bother her more than with those few words exchanged. She and her sister where very simple and kind persons.
Khatia brings more to the World than mere Music; She is a generous performer. Observe her interactions with other musicians; she is not only muy bonita, ella has traido su alma al cado momento de la musica!
@@lindasohier3199 .bonjour.
The Oboe Concerto in D minor, S D935, is an early 18th-century concerto for oboe, strings, and continuous attributed to the Venetian composer Alessandro Marcello. The keyboard version of Bach was published as an arrangement of an Antonio Vivaldi concerto in the 19th century, with Khatia Buniatishvili giving a unique performance.
SUBLISSIME autant Qu intemporel !
Absolutely stunning. And finally, someone who plays it at the correct tempo, instead of way too slow. Most pianists forget it's an oboe concerto, and and oboist would never play it so slow because of breath and phrasing.
Always blessed by your excellent musicianship! Your talent is mesmerizing and moving. Thank you so much for your dedication and commitment to excellence.

I’ve been harsh with you in the past if you remember but you’re such an incredible musician. Here you play like God. Heavenly. No words can describe how beautiful, how magical this is. Wow.
