Khaya Mthethwa Speaks Out About His Divorce 

We've been married for three years now after dating for a year. The first two years have been rocky. But by God's grace we are too tight and stronger today. One of the things that I learned is that we don't get married to "complete each other's happiness" but we must come into the marriage already happy. We should be able to self-generate our own happiness. I mean you don't even know everything about yourself, how will you know how to make someone else happy? See, your happiness must be self made, and self sustained. Then you will be able to learn to communicate well with the other person and try to close the gap between your two different personalities. We see our parents' marriages are great. We don't know that by the time we are old enough to realise the greatness thereof, they've been forged by troubles for each other. They came in raw and unknowing and inexperienced. We want to have what they have without the hard work. So we end the work before we are crafted, forged and purified for each other. Two raw people try to create one life together. There will be too much friction. But by the end of it, the two have truly become one. One piece of artistry that went through fire and ice, smoke and pain. Forged and shinning with their own signature Anyways, twice or thrice we wanted to file for a divorce. But today we are far from that. We are more than friends. And we understand each other.

As a married person, marriage isn’t child’s play. I hope they find happiness.

I never saw this one coming. On the 2nd of December they shared posts all lovely dovey celebrating their 2nd anniversary. 22 days later divorce is on the cards. Hayi ku rough.

This is the reason why I like Sbu Noah of j.c..he doesn't copy or have pressure just because the majority of his friends are married. His waiting for the right woman\time koz he understands that marry and divorce is a sin.Take your time guys,marriage is ordained by God from the beginning and God's time is the best.Don't take it for play and especially that you sing gospel people look upto you

God never in support of divorce, unless serious issues that he addressed in his word which is;"Fornication and adultery. any other thing which human beings can apply common sense is ABUSE which can cost you your Life. Khaya stay off the alter and go heal properly then come back and tells us the truth of experiences in your marriage which led you to decide that you wanted a divorce. Eish....

He told God in January that he was done being married?mhm must've been a hard time for them hey. May they heal.

Maybe he was not happy in his marriage so he decided to quit, one's happiness always comes 1st. He was not ready that's all.

I think he is was not ready for marriage and leadership yet that's opinion.I rather c him releasing music for fun and touring and promoting his albums.I think he was forced into this whole thing.He is not ready by any means.But I don't judge him I respect him.Music Khaya that what you need not addressing people.You have a powerful voice.

Khaya isn't gay I know his family, his mother taught me at school @ Sandakahle Primary at V section .Just as there is the four seasons in a year they will definalety be some changes in our lives ,We just have to know how to cope when those times approach .In Winter we prepare for the cold likewise as summer approaches we prepare and so forth.I hope they both find a way to solve what ever it is that tearing them apart.

No disrespect and no am not being judgmental but when Mkhaya joined miss Thami Ngubeni on the sacred space, it just didn't feel right. I didn't know him from before, never heard of him from before but just something didn't feel right. I was one of the few that voiced my concerns and actually eventually stopped tuning into the sacred space. I didn't know him from before but just listening to him the first few times didn't sit well with my soul. To this day I can't say why but I guess something deep in my spirit was letting me know all wasn't well. We all fall short of GOD'S glory and it's important we all humble ourselves before the Lord and not think that God is blind to our wrongs because HE sees and knows all. I say Mkhaya just like the rest of us needs prayer and during this time he should step down from the pulpit because we all need pastors who will lead us to GOD and not to hell.

Its a pity however marriages are difficult to sustain. The enemy prowls around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He makes sure that marriages do not last because he hates family. The only difference is that lang ago women persevered because of culture. Let us be honest. It has nothing to do with women being equal because of their education, work or status. I was brought up by a wonderful and humble aunt. But she only saw her husband once a year or perhaps once in 2 years at Xmas. He worked in Gauteng whilst she lived in KZN. But she persevered. I read the comment of our bro Dumisani. Prayer is crucial in marriages because it is not easy.

There was a reason they married out of community of property, marriage is not a child s play, its very spiritual. So that was a recipe for devorce, the 2 never planned to become one from the onset. Becareful ,a godly marriage should not adapt worldly merital tricks like that, it will never work. If you choose to love someone for life then love them and be willing to share your whole life and everything with them. If you cant they you dont completely love, wait and pray for your true love. Thats my take.
