Getting lost in the snowy forest: the game. It's so frustrating to me.

I don't know about you, but I just love Sean Bean's voice.

Since some people can't understand...This game is scary because it's based on a real event. These people died in the snow, freezing cold and afraid. Why does everything need to be guts and gore and monsters. Real life terror is sometimes so much more subtle. Nobody knows how they died. Supposedly they just froze to death, maybe more. Who knows. That's the mystery of life! Well death in this case.

The snowy forest looks really cool in this game. That's about all the praise I have. They should make more snowy forest horror games

Basically Slenderman HD edition, walk around looking for pieces of paper waiting for things to happen to you.

Is this based on the story of the hikers that died in the Dyatlov pass? also this game is just different, i don't think it's boring especially if you really immerse yourself in it.

What I've understood about this game at the time? Fugin nothing. Still give me thrills watching your gameplay..damn. LOVE IT.

People think that horor games is just shooting on demons, zombies and creatures .. Outlast is one hell good games, u dont have a weapons and only u can hide, run or die.. I like to play horor games, I play almost all horor games (games made from 2008 to 2018) but Outlast get me shit on my pants. Its like horor-mind-scary game, i put myself in Protagonist from Outlast and I can see what this guy deal with it. Its scary when u cant defend yourself and u must hide or run to save your life but in every corner u can get killed. And this game KHOLAT have something special abouth it.. U are in wild non know land, u cant defend yourself u know that something waching on you and u can get killed every seconds. Its strong horor-mind-survival game and i like it

I think the tent was cut from the inside out because the zipper either froze or otherwise didnt want to open, so in a rush they decided to just cut the tent open because they wanted to start a fire for warmth. By that point they were likely delirious from hypothermia.

You know, I like these types of games with the slow pace. Makes the reveal more intense (at least for me). I have also heard about this mystery and people are still trying to figure it out.

The visuals and atmosphere are superb, but after a while I realized there's nothing more. I'm glad I didn't invest my time into this game. Watching the walkthrough was more than enough for me. BTW I've eventually fallen asleep watching, only to wake up in time to see the perplexing ending. I appreciate the effort. Cheers!

I feel like I wanna play this game so bad. I believe this age is has the best non-combat horror games. Gamers today has to be smart and sharp. It's not only about fun anymore...

I've played so long and still haven't figured out how people know where they're going. The map and compass do nothing.... I think I see a landmark but then the path doesn't go where it does on the map so I always think I know where I am but I'm not actually where I think I am. So I just walk around randomly. I've put in over 130 minutes

I wonder how the victim's family members feel about the making of a game based on their son's misfortunes? Not very pleased, I reckon.

I understand this horror game is not confrontational but I'd like to see some animals seen wandering around always keeping their distance from the protagonist but in the same time never looking sight of him. To get the feeling of getting followed/chased or even hunted. Different wolf howls can be heard to give the chills of knowing there are other predators nearby. Maybe seeing some much larger type of wolves like dire wolves. And then a tottaly different roar/howl from a yeti. It would be cool to see this giant white furred humanoid watching us from the distance never being able to stop them from following us.

Wow the graphics of this game is so detailed that I feel like I'm actually in the game 🤯

Still have this on steam never played dunno why, I've seen a lot of it and I know it's good. The story behind this is explained now, it wasn't supernatural but it's a cool story none the less.

I know why the hikers died. They went hiking. Valuable lesson kids, don’t hike.

I think it was radioactive fog and liquid that made them go crazy, hurt themselves, have a strange skin color and run away from the tent. Maybe the radioactive stuff had somehow messed up their insides too. Made them have easily breakable bones or something. It could have taken a few days to take effect.

Some elements would have helped this game to be more interesting, freezing, hunger, more survival stuff...

Reminds me of the movie Devils Pass on Netflix.

Was this a first playthrough? I was looking for a goofy indie horror game to play tonight and ended up putting in maybe 2.5 hours and only got 5/9 major landmarks. I was doing a lot of extra exploring (trying to take every path instead of just going to the markers), but I can't imagine I would've beaten this in 2 hours even if I was trying to. Also, actually a decent game. Not what I was looking for, but pretty cool. Also, Sean Bean in this? :O

I didn't mind this not being a combat game. And I *did* experience the edge-of-seat tension at the moments I was meant to. The one letdown was the ending. Another tent is found, as happened numerous times throughout the game. Only when this one is entered, we hear a scream...and then the game just ends. I have to say, true story or not, that was rather precipitous as an ending. I don't really know what actually happened there (despite rewatching those final moments several times), except to say it's reasonably clear the character either was killed or at least experienced something that made him scream. But it's a bit weak as an ending, and we didn't get much of a proximal buildup to it. So ultimately, it seems as if we are denied any true payoff for all that patience we demonstrated. I'm not actually against this game...but the storywriters need to work more on the finale.

i spent almost 3 hours for this stupid game and i decided to deinstall it. I hadn't play so this kind of boring game. U don't even know where u ve to go, what u have to do. u ve just compass and useless map that shows just path but not the spot where u are rightnow.
