Proudly at Stage 0... because I keep my self busy with some or the other work and I have not allowed my mobile take control over me... but this wasn't the case few 4-5 years back during college days I was getting addicted (Stage 2) but I realised it and brought myself out of it well it time.. and now I am not at all addicted to mobiles. Steps I took to remove myself from mobile addiction: (Warning: It's very strict and difficult to follow but I did it) 1) Delete social media apps. Not just because its addictive but also these companies spy on you. If you want to use social media then only in Brower "STRICTLY NO APPS" 2) Say NO to gaming or at least limit game time especially for BGMI and Free fire. 3) Disable all or majority notification especially for games and apps which are sending lot of notifications. 4) Divert your mind to something else, learning, going out in nature, listening to audio books, playing outdoor games, just keep yourself busy. 5) Find your niche and Invest in yourself. Thank you Salil for making this very important video for today's and next generation.

Just hatsoff.I was working in my private job where in between boring meetings the only thing you could do is scrolling mindlessly. It's been 5 months since I left my job to continue my study and I can surely say this was the only reason I was feeling so unproductive. I just couldn't concentrate on anything. I applied all those RU-vid tips and tricks and now within 3 months my phone addiction has come down and now it's less than 2.5 hrs daily and I do forget replying people and I feel the world is a much better place now. Jisko zaroorat hogi wo direct call karega why whatsapp (this attitude has reduced my phone usage like anything..I only ans calls and din mein believe me only credit cards/loans bechne waale hee call karte hai ..) I really hope I could continue this habit later. Whenever we go to any restaurant or anything I see children with specs and mindlessly eating and scrolling. What a life we are living? 5-10 years from now, this would have serious repercussions.

What I am going to start from today, hopefully this could help you out- You can't leave social media at a instant. 1. Set your instagram time limit, be it 1hr or 1.5hr 2. Shut down notifications for whatsapp, if someone really needs you they will call. 3. I know this one will be tough but say no to phone after 11, read a book for 20-30mins and sleep. And Thank you Salil bhaiya!

Much needed video on this platform. You never disappoint Salil. This addiction has become much more dangerous than psychoactive drugs, recently a 16yo boy gun shot her mother in Lucknow with his father's service gun just because she was not letting him use phone. My little sisters are so much obsessed with their phone that if I ask them to put it back for some days or some time they change their behavior as I asked them to do give one body part of theirs. I hope this videos changes perception of atleast 10% audience towards phone. Thank you so much.

Having acknowledgement of such major issues of society when others are not even thinking about it....and portraying it in such a manner is outstanding. Kudos your thoughts and your brilliant work!!

It's great how you always try and educate people with the issues you observe or rather dealing on your own. I too identified this issue long time ago, where we don't see the adverse effect of technology. I would say when we start identifying our core problems at a very early stage of addiction and consciously make an effort only then we are able to avoid such addictions. The later we realise the harder it is to get away from such addictions. One of the best way i found out was to make a habit to never use a phone when there are people around. Try engaging more in meaningful conversations with your family, friends or any individual you encounter in life rather avoiding them.

Salil sir, It was a eye opener. Video truly signifies the problem of a person who is in a habit of watching content and swiping fingers on screen all day long.. totally keeping family, responsibilities, health and work aside.. It's like a trap and these applications like facebook, Instagram, RU-vid and games and many others have been made so so addictive by the developers that people spend more and more time here and they can show more adds.. And short 1 minutes videos have even made the things more addictive.. videos became short but we ended up spending more time.. I myself is addicted to content and stuff over internet.. according to your video i might be on stage 3.. I realise this every second after i keep my phone away.. then again that sensational call from inside is such a powerful force that you again end up using your phone for hours.. I have lost health, money, friends and time.. But still i find it difficult to act upon and come out of this loop.. i try many things but i fail.. If somebody has solution i really need help.. Real amazing how accurately he shows real world problems with comedy. Just think about it, it's entertaining yet with a message. I remember, back in class 11 and 12 I'd use my smartphone for nearly 8-10 a day playing games, watching videos. I knew I had to do something. Then I did and brought it way down. This indeed is a serious and grave topic. And how you know that? When this small electronic device is in the hands of a 5 years old, that angry lady in your neighborhood, that film star, the sports man, the young college student, old uncle, vegetable seller and everyone. Idk why but I feel this thing has reached more hands than drugs, alcohol or even cigarettes.
