All 3 musicians are excellent at their instruments. This is who I want to see play at the Super Bowl!!! This is real musical talent that we are robbed from in the media world. Thank You for posting.
Hmmm…let’s see here; a drummer who outplays a metronome, a clever guitarist who’s mastered “the drip” sound and a spot-on GORGEOUS bassist gluing it all up - who’ve come together to create one beautiful thing. It just doesn’t get any better IMO. I loved the classic rock review at the end too. A nod to the great Hank Marvin.
How this band got together, and how they met, and knew each other is part of the mystique it gives them, to me at least, and their barnyard studio in Texas; not to mention that a farmer named a cow after the bass player [Laura Lee], and the cows come to listen to their music some times while they rehearse. Love their sound! They really do seem to come from another planet.
Objectively, she is a quite average bass player. Nothing special at all. But she is a good musician and the three of them together have developed a unique low-style of music you could call ambient dance-pop, with a dash of surf guitar.
I would call her a "solid" bass player. My music teacher used to say the bass was the bridge between the melody and the rhythm. Happy to see a player content to stay in the pocket and groove and not try to be another guitarist. There's joy in economy.
Plainly said, Laura owns her act and gets the job done! Luckily for her, she’s got a consistent and no “diddly-bop bullsht fill every fourth measure” drummer back there to play with. No member here is as strong as the three of em are together.
I'm seeing them live for the first time this August at the Berkeley Theater and man has it been been awesome listening to them and seeing them funk out, I've got now my 2nd guitar and I've I've always had a wide range of music but hearing them talk in the interviews about certain influence such as Thai and Eastern music has made me want to go to my local music shop " Rasputin " and pick out some different stuff.
@@kind2311 Ha yeah Goose is great! I love Khruangbin too, they're a great live act. My only complaint when I've seen them is their shows are SO SHORT!
Yep! Great stuff!! Folks, this is a REAL jam band. I played in bands for years and all anybody wanted to do was cover songs. (Journey, Fleetwood Mac, etc.). When we were kids, we did this stuff. We turned on all our effects (chorus, reverb, distortion, tremelo) Smoke a bit of something and just went for it. Best time of my life as a musician...

Groove deficiency? Stiffness in your hips and neck? Take a dose of Khruangbin twice daily. Don't talk to you doctor, she won't get it. Side effects may include smiling and better mental health.
I understand because I love their music and hope they do get to play at a SB, need something different and good and they Are That! I woul really like to hear them do the music in the video of Maria Tambien and Firefly they are doing in this video. 😊❤ 🎶🎵❤ 🎸 🥁
It's a pretty solid mix from all 3 of their albums. www.setlist.fm/setlist/khruangbin/2021/the-woodlands-of-dover-international-speedway-dover-de-3b8dac78.html
The last time I checked on tickets for their show in Mexico City, it was outrageously so expensive that I thought I lived in the Twilight Zone. I wonder what they'd charge to sit in on one of their practices?
Probably better than a fender with boutique parts to gif the sound . The guitarist is a tasty player with exotic sounds so she may have designed the bass tone to compliment the overall soundscape . Looks like a fender bass so nobody will know it’s a cheap sx
Bap bap bap.....lol, when I heard that switch out to Wat A Bam Bam .....pulllll upppp. Ay unno Sell Off maaaaddd. As a Jamaican , I say unno wicked pon di sounds
somehow audio quality is low despite the hifi recording, main guitar is barely heard, i,ve listened pitchfork 100 times and expect to listen 1000 more. one of the best bands of my time. man i expected more
