I played this when I took a solo road trip to Arizona from California! I suggest you do the same. Everytime I hear this LP, I close my eyes and I'm back on that open road. I can smell the air and feel the sun. ❤
I had to like every comment. No matter where you are. At the moment this music put you in the state of mind you're in. We were there together. California bud. Texas vibes. In a New Jersey home. Love in abundance to you all.
I remember when I discovered this song like it was yesterday. I found a great record bar in osaka, on the day before I had to leave back to germany. I was sitting at the bar, enjoying the music - on my own, but surrounded by friendly people. When the song came up, it hit me like a lightning. Instantly asked the DJ what that was. On the next morning before my flight, I rushed to tower records, got the LP just in time carefully brought it home. Now every time I play the song, it reminds me of the good time in japan.
Most of all, look forward for the future, it keeps coming to you, each and every second that we generally call the "present". Funnily, "present" is synonimous with "gift".
whoever is reading this, i hope you're having a great day, take care, stay safe and keep hydrated. if you're having a tough day, please take a break and treat yourself to something nice. i love you :)
Even after going through a terrible day I know I can rely on this EP to ground me and humble me back into reality. Life is beautiful and so amazing, thank you Khruangbin FOREVER for sharing your amazing talent with us 🥹
Two of my favorite artists from 2019. I am so happy they teamed up. I can't think of a better combination. I hope these guys make many more albums together. It is a winning sound!
I love and honor all of these Texans and the character they share that is often overlooked from the outside descriptions. I got a big smile when I heard Mr. Bridges mention Poly and Crowley! Thank y'all from Dallas!
I still remember that day they unexpectedly and unbidden came into my RU-vid suggestions 2 years ago. It was exactly the kind of music I wanted to listen to. Two years later, they're still killing it.
Right there with you. It was an awful time towards the end of my bachelor's degree. Things were so confusing and sad. And then these dudes blew me away. A bit older now and I'm still just as obsessed! That new album is gonna be killer.
I heard this song from France ... I'm living close to the German border, I'm a sailor .. going back to the sea soon . And "thank you" for that song.. the first one ❤️
Beautiful songs, especially the last one. At the cross, at the cross, where I first saw the light is one of my favorite Gospel Hymns. You can tell that Bro. Leon had a spiritual upbringing. I also like how this song fades out and long after the recording is over ,I can still hear him humming.
Its a sin I didnt hear this until two years later.. The music industry is to blame for the lackluster music, they wont promote real artists like this, only the ones going to make them money..
sitting here in TX listening to this for the first time and this is EVERYTHING there is something very special about the TX sky and the sun on your skin and this song captures it
I'm just wondering how it took me a year to find this! Been groovin' to Leon from day one when I heard him introduced on a local radio station as a promising up and comer who's now known and loved world wide! Proud to be from the same hometown!
Just discovered this with B-sides. I’m mesmerized and it’s been a long time. I love the cross genre’s, it’s what I fell in love with the Grateful Dead…. Just different and not trying to be anything but real and whatever they’re feeling.
I love those NPR concerts. They introduced me to Khruangbin, Jacob Collier, Leon Bridges, Lianne La Havas. It's been a great year for new music for me.
Absolutely excellent. Baselines are deep, creative, and execution is exceptional. Well done. I can not thank the artists enough, for their work. Peace n love.
This was an unexpected surprise. I kept thinking of Miguel's "Coffee" around the 2nd or 3rd track and then I heard one of my favorite communion songs at the ends. This was pleasantly different.
