Khuṭbah: Desiring More Vs. Being Content: The Islamic Paradigm | Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi 

Assalam O Alaikum Dr. Qadhi, I hope you are reading this. Last year I stumble on to your Quran tafseer lecture series and since then my life has changed completely or as you often say there has been a paradigm shift. My religiosity has increased and my understanding on deen has a far better narrative. I used to pray, read Quran and make duas earlier too but I never thought of bigger picture, it was more of a daily routine task. Going through your lecture series has made be figure out what Islam actually is and why we do what we are told to do by Allah SWT and our beloved Prophet PBUH. Even after living in a society that is full of haram I find myself comfortable and content all the time. I now despise haram not because its forbidden but because it would drive me away from my religion. I sincerely thank you for all your contribution Dr. Qadhi.

It's beautiful that we live in a time where we have access to such amazing scholars and reciters of Qur'an from the comfort of our homes.

I love this man for the sake of Allah S.W.T. I am new in seeking knowledge about islam and Alhamdulillah I found him here and I realy learned a lot from him.may Allah reward his deed here in donya and in akhira.

Allah knows what is coming in life.and SubhanAllah he prepares us beforehand but we feel wrong is happening to us. How stupid we become at times and fail to see the magnanimity of Allah's blessings.

Alhamdulillah, life has been changed eversince I started to hear your lectures. Serah series, Mother's of ummul muminin and so on. In covid time locked up, I did my houseworks hearing your lectures. Alhamdulillah, by the rahma of Allah (swt), I performed Hajj in 2022. Doa for you and please keep me in your prayer also. JazakAllahu khairan.

Assalaam Alaykum. Very very important topic. It should discussed in all platforms. Greed is what motivates countries to invade other countries. It is what leading wars and hatred on our global village. May Allah protect us from the disease of excessive greed, jealousy and hatred.

It puzzles my brain when I think about Qadr and Rizq. May Allah make me pleased with HIM.

If with increased blessings you do not find yourself increasing in spirituality then perhaps you should not be interested in worldly blessings... With privilege comes responsibility!
