thats great. Im going to try one of the now easy to get repeater kits for the baofengs that seem to take care of the ptt etc..... i may even consider an arduino interfaced to the squelch pin you mention if the kit doesnt work. Ive made several kits in pelicases in the past both for personal and commercial use. Those fans are going to ruin your kit, they will suck in all the moisture outside and wreck it.......... there isnt much that can be done for a low power option regarding heat, if its even a problem, your main killer will be siunlight so always keep it in the shade..... you could possibly use a heatpipe glued to the radios heat source and then run it to a heatsink thats protruding outside the case, then silicone all that back up to make it water tight again???? my internet connection is currently a 4g capable router, connected to two yagis that are on a pole bolted to my chimney......the router is inside a pelicase. i run cat 5 and power out of the pelicase into the house, its great...... much better than the satellite i was using before. Im making a repeater with baofengs for sure, probably it will end up having antennas on my pole and the radios in the house.
Hi, i have made a repeater with 2 Baofeng uv-5R , similar like you. Just having some interference problems. I have a small power supply converter 12v, to 2 outputs of 7.4v for the 2 radios. That way 1 power suply 12v with 25 amp its more then good for both radios. Do you think it may be used some filter in the power of the radios to drop the interference? Or mabe use other typ of antenas, what you think?
@@artistandcamera3245 To my knowledge, That can be resolved removing the ground wire from 3.5mm to 2.5mm (or whatever aux cable). I did it on mine by stripping the wire, finding ground (mine was obvious, just copper wire).
Please can you tel me ,to make repeater need necessary part,in my country there is no part at all,so we have to order it another country,if we may need it can you send me a single part to assemble in our own
