First of all a very decent review. I wanted to see a review about the new city 1200 and has certainly cleared my query. I have driven the old city for almost 5 years and I should say it gave a very good trouble free drive except for hitting the speed breakers which has now been corrected though. I think Abdi Bhai is right that since its a 1200 CC car then it should be handled in a more loving way and not to be driven as in a Fast and the Furious way . There is also the Aspire version of the City which is more powerful and gives a strong drive hence people have a choice. Overall a good car with a good resale value. Much better then Yaris which I have people complaining about the smooth drive and the interior and the AC. City no doubt has a touch of class of its own.
In order to fully experience response from honda cars, according to my experience, first give full race, the car will go to 3.5-4 k rpm, then immediately put the gear in S mode, then the rpms will rise and ull get a good pulll from the car. I didnt knew this unti i accidently shifted the car in S mode while i was giving full acceleration, then the car really picked up and went. Btw the car i tried this on is a Honda brv 1.5, idk how city 1.2 will respond✌🏻
I have experienced that in order to get max power from our local Honda cars ones needs to redline the rpm at least once. Than one can get better outputs compared with before redlining the rev counter. Remember never to redline the rev counter in the first gear if you have the option of manual gear selection or the engine will blow
I have Honda city 2023 1.2L (abba G ki Sarkari Gadi ) , After driving on highway for around 1,000km I would say that this car gives best avg at 100 to 110km/h (I have got an avg on 17KM/L with chilled AC) And obv avg drops if I drive it at 120Km/h or 130Km/h (For achieving 130Km/h we have to shift car at S gear and obv RPM also goes high so its dangerous for engine to drive continuously at S gear)

Let me tell you that it is tuned this way to get max milage. 0-60 in city is smooth and fine. 60-140 it flies. At 100 the RPM is 2, isn't it amazing? Use in S if you need more pick, otherwise D is enough for city, motorway or even mountains.
bhai back camera to missing samaj ati ha but ya is ma steering lock bhi missing ha I used to remember I have a city 2005 model (manual wali) and that car has steering lock as well such a shame for a Honda to remove this feature just for cost cutting
How you measure power ? It's all depends ... As per company claims and mentioned it's Underpowerd. Engine power rating and it's according performance is related to many factors.
Waise toh ye gaari 40 kg lighter thi pehle wali se since its first launch in India. So power to weight ratio zyada different nahi honi chahiye thi but it is underpowered , this is obvious now
I have listened that this city is good if you experience it physically and take a test drive it's way better than altis and alsvin,what's your take on this? Should I buy aspire 1.5 or stonic by adding some more money pls let me know or used civic 1.8 is the best option but fuel prices are increasing that's can be an issue
Alsvin so far super in power and features and way more comfortable in drive .At least better suspension then city. Reliability is something to be ascertained.Once it get through 100000 km trouble free, its indeed a big hit.

If the road is long enough, pridor 100 bhi 100kph touch Kar hi leta hai doesn't mean under powered Nahin hai. So the notion of being under powered is relative. But this is the least powered car in its class and is slower to 100 than the previous gen city, swift, Liana RXI and the new swift all having similar engine sizes. It also has a sluggish gearbox when compared within its class that is alsvin and yaris
